even if the "works with HTC" bit is misleading somewhat. How many years since HTC used mini vs micro connections?

I would not recommend any usb cables for charging from eBay, they're data capable, if that, but is not strong enough for charging, I had one from cousin and while my MT4G when I had it actually lost power while using the cable to charge... Spend the few extra bucks for a nice one, and it'll charge faster (depending on conditions). Take notice to the quality of the ones HTC provides; heavy duty construction!
