Have you tried to uninstall the stock sms app files (there are 2) and install GoSMS with this you not only can send SMS but MMS as well great work around Nd it works! Use Jrummy toolbox from the market its free And easy

I have been flashing rooms for awhile, but never tried to freeze or uninstall system apps. If I uninstall, do I need to put back the stock messaging app before flashing the next ROM? Sorry for the noob question. :eek:
And could someone tell me what two files to freeze or uninstall?
I just tried the messages and messages widget, I assume those are the two. Hopefully...

Sorry it took me so long to reply..those two that you uninstalled are correct. Make sure also in GoSMS you go to setting>advanced> then scroll down to important tips in red then click the option that says uninstalled stock sms app

Do all of the bootloaders have sense 4 or only the one labeled as sense 4?

ok guys i just unlocked my bootloader. i was on gb to begin with. now do i just download and flash this rom? flash roms on my gnex all the time but these htc phones seem confusing

No unlocked boot loader is just the first step. Now you have to Relock it lol.

You will have to update the firmware if you want to jump to ICS. Then you can unlock again.

If you plan on utilizing the Sense 4.0 roms you will need to do the S-Off while then unlock. Go to the thread and click the first link. Theres a video and the link to Controlbear there. Then flash like normal in Recovery.

Even though I am on the older firmware can I still use the patch method on this rom? I didn't see anything posted for this particular rom that the patch method works?

    Some Important Notes and Tips:
    • If you feel the need to "borrow" my work, please don't without my consent. I've spent 2 months working on sense 4.0 for 2 devices getting stuff fixed if i really just want credit for things i do so if you want to "borrow" my work ask me :).

    Known Issues - if its listed here DO NOT ask about it in the thread:
    The following issues are known about and they are being worked on. Before you post an issue with this rom, you must be on a clean install. If you have not performed a clean install, then your issue cannot be considered valid.

    Some things that are just the nature of the beast:
    • Bluetooth/FM
      - Bluetooth works...not 100%....FM Radio Doesn't work..
    • Animations
      - Need kernel source or else i can't fix this....
    • Miscellaneous
      - other small bugs that might be there that idk about

    Ill work on ril tmmrw.....also flssh the PH98IMG-SENSE4.zip or it wont boot....this is just a preview i got bored...and a lot of people have been asking me to work on sense 4.0...aosp etc.......ive already begun my work in AOSP but its really a long term thing atm.......so i took a break from AOSP and cooked this up for you guys...once the ville leak is released this will get better..
