Should be fixed now.
quick question, regarding the Odin TWRP, would that be posted here or on the TWRP website (when it is, that is ), just want to know where to look out for it
Thanks again
I put it up on the teamwin page but here is a direct link: http://goo.im/devs/OpenRecovery/sgh-i717/openrecovery-twrp-2.2.2.0-sgh-i717.tar.md5
I haven't tested it myself. Let me know if it doesn't work.

I get:
<OSM> Enter CS for MD5..
<OSM> Check MD5.. Do not unplug the cable..
<OSM> Please wait..
<OSM> MD5 hash value is invalid
<OSM> openrecovery-twrp-2.2.2.0-sgh-i717.tar.md5 is invalid.
<OSM> End...
Gonna try an older version of Odin...
EDIT: didnt work with the older version
EDIT2: thought maybe bad download, so downloaded again, same error... I wonder if something had to be done to the .tar / .tar.md5 CWM version that made it work?
bigjoe2675 you said the odin worked for you?
I will try tonight through odin.

Hmm. I just made a back up and before hand named it. This was first back up of made after update of twrp. Went to look at my nandroids and it didn't name it what i did..no biggie. Just reporting. I didnt use any spaces or anything.
Edit: just wanted to say that naming my backups did work before update so not sure what is up.
Edit: just for kicks made a new nandroid and named it didn't work again...

Huh, no sir, on the build before this I used the goo app, I thought it did not take cuz it didn't reboot, so I download the zip file to flash but as I rebooted it took.... TWRP was on my phone....same thing for the update, but it updated.
So bottom-line the goo install worked, just did not reboot as mentioned on the webpage...still it is good to go.
OK, I haven't created an odin tar md5 before. I will try again tonight to see if I can figure out what I did wrong. Basically I tarred the recovery image in ustar format. Then I concatenated the md5 of the tar at the end of the file.
Bigbiff, when i go to make a nandroid i hit the button to name it. I do...no spaces or weird characters. Then i hit the back button then swipe to backup. Same thing i did before the update. Is there a save button now or something? Thanks...more than likely my error

Don't hit the back button, hit the enter/return button on keyboard. It works for me this way.

thank you both., hmmm i thought i was doing it the same way from last release to now.....thanks. Will doYeah, hit enter on the keyboard will take the input. Will put this in the FAQ.
Try it now? Odin reports md5 successful, but crashes in windows 8.
same error, tried overwrite, delete/replace then, then redownload
I thank you for your effort, but I think something else has to be done as well, generally CWM is 7Mb~ as well, but in the tar.md5 for odin, its 10Mb~...
Ive gone ahead and just flashed CWM then did it over through CWM
Thanks for all the work either way!
For those of you wondering, 2.5.0.0 does not have the screen timeout issue that affected some people. The new timeout is pretty slick actually.
