Bay Area for now
That AT&T one is the one I had on my Fuze when I bought it. I will flash back to it. Thanks, what are your media net settings? Do you have the proxy enabled? do you have DNS as Open DNS, what are your settings please?

Give me a second. im flashing another radio right now and will run speed test on that. once my phone is on again i will get the stats for you. i cant remember but at one time i think it was on my hermes i hit 3mb download. it was insane fast for a phone. hope to find a radio like that with the raphael.

Here is test with diamond radio 1.05.25 BS14

here is a long distance test same diamond radio

this test was from opposite sides of the country

Here are my settings:
proxy settings tab- this tab i disable everything. just uncheck this network uses a proxy server to connect to the internet.

modem tab -this was left alone. if you run the connection wizard from your cooked rom everything will be correct in this tab.

i have found that having anything to deal with proxy selected affects my connect stability and speed.

Tried 1.05.25.BS14 and found it to really drain my battery. It was using 5% every 30 minutes, got home from work with 15% left after 10hrs even after switching over to GSM at mid-day. On my network in Australia this radio is not good for me. Flashed back to 1.09.25.14 and got home after work with 68% left, huge difference.
Thanks to guys uploading these radios, without your help the community wouldn't be able to test which radio is best suited to their needs and their mobile network.

I have tried 3 or 4 of the radios in this thread and I seem to keep going back to the Blackstone 1.09.25.14 radio because it seems to pull a better signal for me (usually about 1 bar more than any other radio).

Battery usage for me seems to be the same as other radios. I don't have ATT data, so I don't really care about internet speed.

GPS seems to work the same for me on every radio I've tried.

WiFi and BT don't seem to change between radios either.

I'm in Illinois.

I've been using 1.09.25.14 for a couple of days now, and I'm going to stick with it for now. I get slightly better reception on 3 UK network than any other radio I've tried, and battery usage is also best of any radio I've tried.

GPS is also extremely good - I now get a lock as fast as I used to get with my Kaiser. There's still some lag, but I've never had a major problem with lag and as other have said it's probably more of a driver issue than a radio issue.

Cheers
Rowan

Well, after testing the 1.05 Diamond radio ive gone back to the Blackstone, i developed some really weird problems after a couple of days, like rebooting, can see satelites but wont lock on, that sort of thing.

Ever so strange never had that before, normally if i have problems with a radio its there from the offset, not a day or two later.

Not a not problem at all with the Blackstone however.

1.09.25.23 Seems to be sweet so far, will do some more thorough testing and report my findings in a day or two.

20m1 radio sucks for GPS for me, but radio reeception was ok. GPS took 20 minutes to lock on!

btw MAW did you have the touchlockpro software when you had the 20m1 radio installed? was it the radio not the proggy that did the drain?

okey the same happened to me.. took me 20 minutes to lock.. do you sugget any that might work much better? have you changed or?

    [edit]
i changed to radio 1.02.25.28 and it took 25 sec. to lock 4-5 satellites ;)

i use blackstone 1.10.25.25 radio rom...in my opinion, this radio rom is the best...the gps connection time is max 1-2minutes under full cloudy weather.

I was using 1.14.25.05 and i installed 1.17.25.09 yesterday. I have no problem and i think better battery life with it.
    Should i apply any rilphone.dll?
You might as well just stick with the one you've got, especially if you've already confirmed better battery with the new radio/rilphone combination.
