Camera is working pretty well so far but damn that shutter is loud and annoying

Thanks drk for keeping up to date with these. Great progress being made.

Working screen brightness! Yay! :D Found my new daily driver, assuming no really nasty bugs pop up. Flashed last night, but didn't really get much done before needing sleep. I'll play more today, but it feels smooth so far w/ tiamat and lagfree.

Good job!

How's that kernel working out? Still have hwa? Fast charge? What's the battery like with lag free? Thanks.

Activate screen *228, no number pad

I was trying to activate my Incredible through *228, but there is no way to get the number pad open from the *228 screen.

This rom is working well in my brief time with the late release. I've been wondering, does browser text reflow work for anyone? I haven't seen it work for this or AOKP, which is more an annoyance than a major bug. I have tried stock and dolphin hd, so I know it's not isolated.

Pretty solid, a little slow with the launcher. I did notice a incident where my "press to disconnect usb" icon remained even after USB was removed (reboot fixed this for now). Rotation is clean, netflix still freezes up for me on the start of a movie.

So far this rom is solid. No force closes or reboots at all. Switched to apex launcher, best ics launcher in my opinion. Has flash, screen rotation works, camera works. Loving this rom.

The launcher is smoother in this CM9 kang than I've seen in any other ICS base, but it certainly isn't up to snuff with the Gnex. This is understandable due to our hardware limits. I just have to wonder, since we have full HWA, is this the peak of the 1st Gen Snapdragon's ICS performance? Or is there still more to look forward to in this area?

We do have full have full HWA but that in no way means it's running optimally. I'm sure we have plenty of room for improvement. Once tiny has a HWA kernel I'll be all over ICS! The tiamat kernel runs well but I seriously miss fast charge and changing voltages on the fly with incredicontrol.

Chad released a test incredikernel for HWA, check it out

Hmm.. how's the battery? Either its really exciting!

battery...it's kind of odd. when idling, the phone lasts much longer with the new Incredikernel. But once it's in use, the battery really drains. maybe ICS just keeps the processor running top speed more frequently or something.

It's totally usable, though. It'll get you through the day with talk and texts, but games, etc. will burn through it.
The ROM is so smooth, though, I'm very impressed.

Yeah, battery does drain fast depending on what you do. I'm happy it charges quickly.
But.. I know its a test, I've had 3-6 reboot either from rotation or lock screen.

I hope you aren't tired of flashing, because I have one more coming your way, and this one is big. The Evervolv team just pushed through some major fixes to the camera HALs just this morning that should enable barcode scanners and panorama mode. Additionally, rywri has just posted a new camera apk with some code that fixes the camera fc when using panorama. Check his thread out here.

What this means for YOU is that I'm (probably) going to put out yet another build today with working barcode scanner and panorama. :D

I've started to experiencing a weird issue with Superuser after upgrading to a7. When prompted, Superuser doesn't remember anything that I've allowed. I had to allow several prompts just to load Titanium Backup. This issues isn't limited to Titanium, but to any app that requires root access. Right now I have Superuser set to automatically allow anything, and I'm not fond of leaving it on that setting. I've tried clearing the cache. They only thing I haven't done is delete Superuser using Titanium (since it's a system app) and then reinstalling it through the market.

That's odd, it's working for me. I do know that CM made some changes to su recently to try to fix some bugs...

New build is up! Get it while it's hot!
Like the preview release, only kernels built for the new drivers work. This limits you to Incredikernel HWA Beta 2 and mamarley's beta kernel, along with the stock kernel, of course.

    Get it here!

    New Build

New build is out! Get it here.

    Changes:
    • CM9 updates
    • Evervolv updates
    • General cleanup

I'm done with finals now, so my dev work should be speeding up. The main thing to work on right now is actually the kernel, so we don't have to rely on outside kernels. Then comes getting the needed changes to the qcom libs into CM. Busy busy!

New build is up! Various updates from upstream. On my end, I simplified the repo download process, so I'll write a new tutorial on building soon.

    Get the new build here.
