Anyone have a copy of the default wallpaper for this Rom? I switched wallpapers and now I can't find it to switch back. I even looked for it with root explorer.

It's not under DARKSIDE Wallpapers?

One thing I can't find is the music widget, it's no where to be found for me.

Which is ok, since there's a static widget in the notification bar.

This rom has been so smooth, so stable, out of every ICS rom currently out for the Hercules, this has been the most reliable bar none, at least in my opinion.

No hangs, no reboots, power off and restart work, GPS locks immediately, the signal strength is fantastic without flashing an extra radio. I'm getting about 18mpbs down and 4mbps up in my apartment, it's actually faster then the stock GB rom.

Delete shutdown.apk from /system/app

"I am turned into a sort of machine for observing facts and grinding out conclusions..."

On my third go around. Followed OP to a T, and flashed DSWipe twice, flashed ROM, then let it marinate for 20 minutes. First flashing of the ROM couldn't restart or shut off without either a battery pull or holding power button. Second round of flashing led to it working but then hanging and now the third flash worked for a couple hours and then stopped as well.

Followed the above step but restart and shut down still hanging. Anyone else, or time for another reflash?

Excellent battery life. Also seems to charge very quickly. super smooth and fast, no errors (when you don't go crazy with tb system data restore). Really to notch work, makes me wish I'd tried a tdj rom sooner.
also, best data speeds I've seen on tmob, without messing with the radio

Sign into Gmail let it sync fully
Go to recovery clear wipe and dalvik.
Fix permission
reboot.
Let the rom settle for sometime.
Now try fix permission in rom manager.
Reboot, it will work.
At least this is working for me.

Try again without the super wipe. Wipe data, cache, and dalvik cache. Then flash again. That worked for me. I have the touch recovery and I didn't want to go back to the old recovery. Not using the super wipe is suggested on some other ucld2 based roms.

Agree on this.. he had done coding changes in the systemUI.apk (don't know what it is).. flashing the theme will take away the tweaks he has..

TDJ, You're rom is running very smooth and no Fc's so far..
I have to uninstall the Rom manager and re-install to make the Fix permission working..

Here is my Mod based of TDJ's systemui.apk

changes:
1% Battery Mod
50% Transparent Statusbar
Center Clock

my density is 206, so it may be bit different for you flash it in 220 dpi

if any one interested, flash over the Rom

If anybody knows how to make the statusbar background transparent let me know.

Nice mod.... great work ...

Only thing super wipe does is super wipe the /data partition. I have it super wipe /system and /cache by default when installing..

I think its safe to say the best flash will be a full wipe flash, normally on GB you only need to full wipe when switching bases but with ICS being so temperamental I would full wipe if reinstalling the apps are a pain the back up, wipe flash rom. Stay in recovery the advance restore data only from your nandroid. You should be good. Hope this helps

ALERT ALERT ALERT
... there has to of been more stuff done to this ics leak than just a CPU limit.

And mind that but I thought there was something wrong so I rebooted my phone only to find that it was perfectly fine and the previous stats gone. So as you can see this was only with less than half full battery, imagine if it was full!

Can't wait to see what he can do with actual source for our phone and not handcuffed to a leak.

    Pro Tips:
    • Coming soon...

    Instructions on flashing DARKSIDE.EVOLUTION:

    * FULL WIPE ALWAYS *

    01. Download ROM (Link is Below)
    02. BACKUP ALL APPS with preferred method (ie: Rom Toolbox, Titanium, My Backup, etc..)
    03. Place ROM on ROOT of your SD card. (ie: /sdcard)
    04. Boot into Recovery Mode
    05. Do a NAND BACKUP!!!
    06. Flash DARKSIDE.SUPER.WIPE (OPTIONAL - ROM will do this by default)
    07. Flash an ICS ready radio (Links below)
    08. Flash ROM.
    09. After flashing is complete, Reboot...
    10. Let device sit for 10min without touching, then reboot.
    11. Done!

Please don't start flashing any mods that were not done by me! Unless the mod was specifically made for this rom, with parts from this rom. Don't flash any radios unless they're specifically for ICS, the ril from gb roms will cause phone not to boot.

I know that ICS is new and a lot of people are unfamiliar. You must read! Please don't think ICS is anything similar to gingerbread.

"so that is the reason for the darkside.cache.wipe... because you cant wipe the cache in recovery... recovery as in CWM right? except through script like in your Darkside.cache.wipe?" (Quote from @Rushing)

ONLY USE THIS IF YOU NEED TO WIPE CACHE'S OR FIX PERMISSIONS IN CLOCKWORK MOD RECOVERY. THIS IS TO BE FLASHED IN RECOVERY! This replaces the need for using the broken built in CWM recovery functions. The DARKSIDE.CACHE.WIPE script will wipe both the /cache partition and the dalvik cache. After its has completed the wipe, it will then fix permissions (the correct way). This should hopefully fix that damn ICS reboot hang issue once and for all.

Here is where I stand after a lot of thought on all this.. I am a firm believer in pushing the community forward. Innovation, creativity, and originality are the keys into doing this. I am definetly not happy with the way people act around here, especially some of the new "devs". There is no sense in not helping the community when I am able. I know that I can deliver a solid ROM based off the stock Samsung firmware. It will continue along the line of minimal ui changes and focus more on ux. Updates will not be as rapid and before, but development will be consistent until I am happy with where the project ends up. I will be moving in 2 days, so I don't think I will have anything ready for another week or so. This is not an eta, just letting you know where I am at... let's do the damn thing and show them that there feeble skills are no match for the power of the DARKSIDE!
    65
If anyone is still interested.. Expect an update with the new UVLH1 android 4.0.4. NO ETA..

Taking requests for things people would like to see.. will not guarantee I will implement everything suggested.. but open for ideas
    55
I will be releasing v2 BETA01 tonight. V2 rebases of the uvcl8 t989 base and gives us back all functionality. Base is stable and screaming fast. Plus I know a lot of people will be happy to get wifi calling back... no exact time, but sometime tonight for sure. Still a few things that I have to do.. but I know u guys will be more than happy with my progress. To note, everything works within the rom
