Hi all.
I want to say i have problem with gps with any custom lolipop (based stock lg). (I don't tried to flash stock fimware lolipop kdz yet).
On start the gps works good but after some minutes 15-20 have drop down signal for some seconds like something to terminated.
With kitkat my gps worked great without anny issue like this.
I try to find the problem without luck.
The only way to fix is turn back my phone on any kitkat firmware.
Please i want to tell me If there is someone else here with this problem because i see many other people on this thread.

I'm having severe gps problems too. In a 10km trip it lost signal about 6 times.
Tried two navigation programs.
Any help? :crying:

I'm rooted, with TWRP, Bumped stock Lollipop v20h.

Yes, I have a problem too. I flashed custom or stock lollipop rom's it's have a problem for all. I think it's the lollipop's failure. When I use a kitkat is works great. I didn't find method how to fix it.

Last night I found a file when somebody shared . It's gps.cfg. I downloaded and I overwrite the original files and I tested all day. Never dropped my phone the gps signal. If you think try it, but it's has T-Mobil config. Make a backup for original file. Need a root!

here... this helped me https://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=81140#c695
i am on official LG MM rom. used kingroot to temporally root and modify gps.conf

With a file explorer like ES explorer, go to "/system/etc"
open the file named "gps.conf"
You should find a variable named "CAPABILITIES"
Edit the file

If this variable is set at 0x37 or 0x35 or 0x33, change the value at 0x31
If this variable is set at 0x36, change the value at 0x30
If this variable is set at 0x27 or 0x25 or 0x23, change the value at 0x21
If this variable is set at 0x26, change the value at 0x20
If this variable is set at 0x17 or 0x15 or 0x13, change the value at 0x11
If this variable is set at 0x16, change the value at 0x10
