FLASHING FOR N00BS 101...
#1 - download and install HardSPL for Kaisers
#2- Download the ROM you wish to install on your Kaiser MORE ADVANCED-(you can either unpack the RUU-signed.nbh using WinRar and use NBHextract.exe to extract just the OS.nb (if you do this you must use another exe to pack the OS.nb into a RUU_signed.nbh) or flash the whole thing which will include the radio)
#3- Reset up all your settings DO NOT try and install a back up from a different ROM cuz it won't work!

To Flash a ROM or Radio simply use a tool to convert the .nb files in to .nbh format Dutty's NBH tool works great! then copy pof's Kaiser Custom_RUU into the same folder and then run the Custom_RUU and your device will start the upgrade process. With the new RUU when you flash a splash screen or radio only your device will not hard reset!
You can also flash any ROM now that HardSPL has been release! Simply download the rom you like and run the .exe and start flashing!
The Kaiser is just like the Hermes in many ways if you have questions you can always consult the Hermes WiKi for Ideas and Help!! Most of all please try to learn and share knowledge back to the Xda forums!

-Enter Bootloader mode: Hold Camera + Power buttons together and reset with stylus(thanks pof)

-HardReset: Hold Both soft keys in while pushing in Reset button :When prompted push Green Talk Button to clear data.

-Task2a with mtty: 'task 2a' command is enabled in kaiser bootloader (even in non-MFG bootloaders), it will try to correct non-factory marked bad blocks, but it will format everything and leave your device in bootloader mode. Make sure you download a ROM matching your CID before issuing 'task 2a'.

*MICROSD FLASHING*
***IMPORTANT***
Please make sure you have HardSPL on your device.

1. Get a 128MB MicroSD card (or whatever size you like) and format it (***please make sure you format it, but not just delete all contents on it)
2. find the ROM image you would like to use, normally namede RUU_Sign.nbh, and rename it to "KAISIMG.nbh"
3. Plug the card into the phone, then enter boot loader mode by pressing down the Power and Camera buttons simultaneously, and using the stylus at the same time to press the RESET button at the left side. Continue pressing the two buttons for a few seconds after pressing and releasing the reset button until the bootloader screen appears. (taken from Wiki)
4. You will first see a tri-color screen then the information on the card. Press power button to start flashing.
5. After all these are done, press the reset button located at the bottom of the phone to reset the device.

COOL TWEAKS UNLOCKED BY REG EDITS: YOU WILL NEED A REG EDITING APP FOR THESE! MANY GOOD FREE ONES OUT...

-How to to activate the gps photo on the TytnII (like the Artemis): HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\HTC\Camera\
in the folder called P9 change the value "enabled" from 0 to 1.
Now if you launch the camera you must find a new menu called "gps photo".

-Screen Going Off Durning a Call Bother You?
If you would like it to never go of during a call then edit this registry key
\HKLM\Drivers\BuiltIn\RIL\EnableFastDormantDisplayDuringCall
From "1" to "0"

-To increase sensivity of TouchFlow: HKLM>Drivers>TouchPanel>PressureThreshold and modify to 200 or more

-Disable TouchFlo scroller: HKLM\Software\OEM\TFLOSettings\ and change EnableScroll key to 0

-Camera bug that makes each picture rotated 90 degrees clockwise by default: HKLM\Software\HTC\Camera\Image
Change the value named "EnableEncodePortrait" to 0 Default is "EnableEncodePortrait" Dword: 1

Click on Inbox (make sure the Inbox is highlighted) and select Edit, New Key
Name the New Key as "Settings"

-Change the keyboard backlight duration
To change the duration of the keyboard backlight, you can set (example is 30 seconds):

-Disable the security warning when installing non-certified application
To disable the security warning when installing a non-certfied application, set:
HKLM\Security\Policies\Policies\0000101a = 1 (DWORD decimal)

-If you want your GPRS (or EDGE) connection to always be on, set the following:
HKLM\Comm\ConnMgr\Providers\{7C4B7A38-}\Connections\|gprs connection name (my Isp/MediaNet} \AlwaysOn = 1 (DWORD decimal)

-Kaiser saves to \Storage Card\DCIM\100MEDIA, by defualt if you want your storage card instead edit the following registry key: HKLM\Software\HTC\Camera\General and change EnableDCIM from 1 to 0

You can use the ROMs in the first post as long as your device is not CID locked. if it is CID locked you have to wait untill a CID-unlocker is released which will be soon.!

Good Question i have never tried to do that. I will look into that but I'm sure its not a problem with the correct REG settings.

I'm sure once we start having more roms come out and a HardSPL and CID_unlocker the roms will start flowing. Everyone please remember that this HTC just came out so we are just starting to test the waters here and see what we can do. It took the hermes almost 7 months to really start to get going and only now is it almost perfect! Give it some time and you will be amazed at what comes out of this forum. I think we all got a little spoiled with are Hermes lol

Short answear is no, not all shipped with 1.56.00.00 there is another SPL that was shipped if you look in the thread about CID_Unlocking you will see.

Hey Guys,
When you have a new REG tweak can you just edit your original post and add everything to the same post. That way we dont have to search through pages and pages to find something. I will also be adding all new tweaks to the first post at first chance I get!

try powering down your device buy holding in the power button and then powering back up. I also thought i saw some place that this was a bug with the SIM manager but i could be wrong. Wouldnt be the first time.
