[ROM] [02-06] Primo-S - v4.1 [HTC One V port] Android 4.0.3 [Kernel 3.0]

I'm giving this ROM a try after Lord's ICS has stopped development. I have noticed a couple of issues so far.
1. Wifi sleeps when the phone sleeps. The only way I can update or get notifications is when I wake the device. I have Wifi "Keep wifi on during sleep" but it doesn't work.
2. There doesn't seem to be any LED notification lights when I receive mail or miss calls
3. Not sure if there is, but I can't find an option to hide clock and battery icons in the status notification bar. Is there such an option?

S-off removes the security on the boot rom. Without s-off I can't see how you'd get a custom rom loaded and booted. It is just a part of the rooting process.

are u sure that s-off is needed? my phone is s-on and i flash custom roms, everything works fine
The post you replied to is really old. Sometimes older HTC phones needed s-off to easily flash custom ROMs. For the Evo 3D, s-on people had to flash the boot.img separately every time they flashed a ROM, but s-off people did not. Now s-on has been relaxed some so that on the One M7, one really doesn't need s-off for the most part.
first this is not odexed its fully deodexed rom, and 2nd ums not working, need to use recovery for usb storage... and what is difference between hibernate and fast boot power options?

Ok guys,
I haven't had much time, some of you might have noticed. But I didn't resist trying this out, so, here's my small contribution, mostly directed at proxuser:
Wifi fix for proxuser, "regular" users do not try this stuff:
- modified ramdisk image to use pre-ics wpa_supplicant (I attach a modified quattro kernel ready to use): View attachment kernel-onev.zip
- Copy /system/etc/wifi/wpa_supplicant.conf from Endy to your rom
- Copy /system/bin/wpa_supplicant from Endy to your rom
- Change build.prop entries "wlan0" to "eth0", because this is the interface the quattro kernel sets up
This will get you wifi working, I have it now in front of me. A few quircks though:
- Does not measure incoming RSSI. meaning the wifi indicator will show always empty (like when the "connected to null" thing happens in sense 3.5
- Gave me a hard time connecting the first time, but seems stable now. But I haven't tried it for that long.
