Looks promising....wish I can test this in my WVGA phone! But great job, hope you can make other resolutions soon...
im using the HTC Vogue and everything is working perfectly for me. im running NFSfans 6.5 rom and no slow down wat so ever. i would suggest tho along with the picture thing to make it a lil bigger for the screens. i mean make the directional arrows a lil smaller and give the blue blocks a lil bigger. there is alot of space between the arrows and blocks that could be utilized. But still this is a great stand alone app for anyone thinking of trying the Phone 7 out.
I know it says QVGA but I tested it on my diamond & it works (well almost!)
the animations are fast! i don't think porting to VGA will be much work, just a bit of upscaling on the images because the buttons work correctly, only the sms link didn't work... I'm really impressed!!

looks like i have solved the sms problem (i hope so).. for those who were facing sms problem, can u pls check and post the result?.. download file replaced in the first post..
yup,..sms was work now,..but camera still not work for my atom life,.. any solution to fix this?

I have just tried your new version and it´s improving on the right way.
A couple of issues I have seen:
- I don´t have PowerPoint installed on my Elfin and when I press on the program icon, inside the Office page, your aplication crashes and I have to run it again, instead of the typical "Error while opening PowerPoint" but keeping inside the app.
- I think the scrolling is a little slow. Maybe you can do it smoother.
And now a sugestion: maybe the Search button, at the bottom bar, could drive the phone to a Bing page instead to the Phone search. This is just a personal opinion.
But, overall, I like your improvements and I hope you keep working on this.

Even better, a Search Page with links to Local Search (phone), Web Search and Bing Search (restaurants, pharmacies...), like on the original and future Windows Phone 7.

Like i said before, i'm only learning wm programming.. so nothing big..
This is a standalone app. You can customize it to make it look like WP7.
Should work on all screen types (QVGA/WQVGA/VGA/WVGA), other than the square/HVGA ones.
REQUIRES:
1. WM6.5
2. .net compact framework 3.5 (usually built into WM6.5 cutom ROMs. if not, u'll need to install it)
still beta...i'll assume no responsibilities...
things to do..
just install the cab (on device) and run from the start menu.
REMEMBER to uninstall before a new install
i'd recommend all today items to be disabled first (not needed, but saves battery and memory)

Remember when downloading: HostV1.5.CAB is the new version. HostV1 and WP7V2.0.CAB are the old ones. if you find V1.5 too heavy for u'r device, u may opt for WP7V2.0.
