Ok, so I am running: The 1/21 Liquid-Kitkat-v3.0-NIGHTLY-d2vzw.zip .

So from now on I should dirty flash the: Liquid-Kitkat-v3.0-NIGHTLY-d2lte.zip?

Is that correct?

i wiped dalvik and cache after flashing the 1/28. only minor issue is when i change the battery animation to circle or dotted, it glitches...

Ok so i used to use this rom as my daily driver, then i switched to CM and have been there for a while but im really wanting to come back to this rom. So after looking at the latest posts it seems a lot has changed, so can someone tell me what has changed since the 4.3 days cause im getting really confused.

+1 same exact scenario. Miss me some LS!

What I've gathered from last few pages:

4.3 is still last official stable build. 4.4 beta is available in (semi?) nightlies. For a while they were updating the d2vzw branch, but now all GS3 are under one d2lte tree.

The current recommendation is to clean flash d2vzw (not sure yet which one exactly is most stable. Poss 1/21, maybe older. Read back to find out). And then dirty flash d2lte.

I'm about to give this a shot tonight. Let me know if anything comes up for you.

In all honesty, stuff is missing, but being slowly added back in. Changing from JB to KK isn't as easy as just changing the "base" and throwing all of the add'l features back on top ! :) There isn't anything deal-breaking missing (for me) at this point though - I'm content with it as it is.

Since the Liquid team didn't mention the GApps package, I suspect nothing is "special" about it. They just put it in a convenient place for people downloading the ROM. ;)

I wouldn't worry about GApps - even the PA team will tell you that they do nothing to the package. They are just known for their "0-day" version which, no offense to PA, really means nothing. You can install a 9-month old version of an app from an old, old GApps and within minutes, the Play Store will notify you that there's an update.

That is concerning that no official info was given about it. I ran across it in the comments of a post at Google+. Even worse, the first explanation was that it was a "fix" for a filesystem glitch.... Then it was said that you need to flash it if you have the lost-IMEI issue ! :(

The lack of communication is troublesome.

I had something like this happen when i was initially flashing the 1/21 build. No matter what i got my IMEI lost and both nvrestore, and re-flashing my EFS partition wouldn't fix it. I ended up fixing it by flashing a CM build then magically my IMEI came back. After that i re-flashed liquid and got data working. Just putting that out there for anyone who had the same problem i did when installing Liquid.

I did originally clean flash 1/23, had no IEMI. Then did some reading and found to flash the extfat.zip would fix it. So I did that and all was fine. So to all people clean flashing, after flashing ROM, Gapps, and kernel, then flash the extfat.zip and you will have data.

On a side note, I can't find how to turn on the 3 dot action overflow menu. I use nav bar with no menu button. I remember it in older builds, and used it on other ROMs. I may be missing something somewhere. Is it on this ROM at this point?

Thw first time flashing the LTE i got no data but mei and iemi were intact. Did lil reading. So i went to the an older build 1/21 or before i think clean flash booted fine. then i jst dirty flash the LTE 1/23 over it and the LTE has everything working. Maybe because its a new type build "universal" thats y giving off data problems

Currently on the 1/21 build and I noticed that when accessing the camera widget from the lockscreen, I am getting a black screen. Then, when I try to access the camera after I have unlocked, I get a camera not found error. After a reboot, I can then use the camera after an unlock, but still not using the camera widget.

Anyone else having this problem?

They added PIE controls after the 1/21 build - not sure if it was in the first "universal" build or the follow-up. There may be others too... I saw them mention an enhanced caller ID function as well.

Ok, so here's something weird. I have installed the latest build and PA Gapps, when I install the PA Gapps, then reboot it has uninstalled, messaging, browser, and launcher. I then have to pull the apk's from this zipped liquid ROM and install them manually by placing in the system folders. TiBu won't even reinstall them. Anyone run into this?

remains to be seen. im doin a clean install and still setting up now. cant wait to see:fingers-crossed:
hey....my gps works again woohoo!

Phone and Messages stops with several respectable Roms like CM11 08/SOKP444 and others. I am still triyng to understand, because all procedures are correct on Note II N7105. One last quid: Devil Kernel las release 3.4_.1.4t0lte. Maybe its better to get back to 4.4.2 and search and wait. Congrats, just to let you know another case.:fingers-crossed:
