It remains to be seen but one if the co-founders just replied to a tweet I sent him and he said they are also working on improving Android upload quality.

Does anybody have the apk file for the Resize App? I had purchased it thru google play and I had it on my S4. However, I just switched to the S6 and figured I would find it on google play in my history and just re download it but it's gone :/

Try the latest Instagram version. The change to 1080p uploads and the latest improvements made Android uploads a lot better. Maybe not where it needs to be yet but the photos are looking very good now.
what if instagram new us android users are alot more smarter than iphone users, so they let us figure it out on our own

I have tried to post to Instagram from my Sony Xperia Z today and the uploads resulted in 640x640 pictures of pretty low quality. Anyone else has been able to upload 1080x1080 photos from Android successfully?

6Hi, I know a lot of you hate on Instagram so please move on.
I was looking at my pictures and found that Instagram was destroying my pictures a little bit in excess of what I would normally find respectable for such a software.
So today I took a picture I shot with my 5DMKII (DSLR) and did the following...
I took my I9300, open instagram, applied no filter and this is what came out:
Then I used a iPod 4th gen I got today for cheap and did the SAME thing, this is what came out:
WTF is wrong with the Android app ? Is this a SGSIII issue or is everyone on Android affected. This is really horrible.
