It's just few hours what I'm learning the rooting, but I think it has been enough. I want to achieve bootloader unlock with S-on. I don't want to risk S-off yet.
My EVO is GSM, hboot 1.53.007, Android 4.0.3, software 3.28.401.1
And here must be the problem. Guides all over the internet are guiding only 1.49 hboots, or how to downgrade to 1.49 with S-off, but I don't want none of them. So htcdev should have been best way nope? But it is not working because of "unlock token check failed" at the step 12. I found many ppl having this problem, no solution right for me. I have tried factory reset and update with RUU, still stuck on step 12. My phone wasn't in service yet, so my motherboard wasn't changed, as it is problem of some ppl.
Is there any other option? Or I have to get ubuntu and go for S-off?
