lenses don't really "age" i have a lens that was made in the 60's and takes sharp pictures still. just take a cloth and the slightest amount of lens cleaner (glasses, or camera) and clean it off. It looks like HTC put a oleophobic coating or something over the lens it comes off really easy.

is there anyway to get rid of the focusing audio and shutter, its incredibly annoying

I wouldn't see why not. Both are sense phones. It was made for the sensation but works on the vivid

Open the camera and look in the settings

UPDATE: I'm working on adding some more options to the app. Trying to add a red eye flash option. and other manipulations of the flash.

MORE IMPORTANTLY: I'm working on making a flashable zip with aroma making it able to flash Stock camera, ICS camera, Standard HQ camera, AND last but not least... Ultra HQ camera.

if you can help in any way with the aroma installer. Possible make the layout and i know enough about Edify to add the installer parts of the scripts.

Yeah.....usually this would be the case, but there is no option to disable the shutter, hence why I posted.

Under settings I have the following;

Self Timer
Image Adjustments
White Balance
ISO
Resolution
Review Duration
Storage
Widescreen
Geo-tag Photos
Auto Enhance
Auto Focus
Face detection
Grid
Auto Upload
Reset to default

you should have an option that says "shutter" too

if you see it, uncheck it.

Yeap Standard 2D works fines only thing ive noticed is that you have maybe 30 seconds to select your options Settings then it exits settings by itself. (BTW i flashed 40 MBPS HQ-CameraV1.5 Ultra)

I could look at the EVO camera and how it enables the 3D and try to implement it. But I doubt i'll have any luck.

lol I figure it out right away.. I'm s-off'd and all i did was flash it through recovery.. didnt have to delete the camara.apk on root explorer. all i did was flash and it installed it... now the camera icon looks different.. and IM SORRY if i double posted for help and didnt come back right away saying i did fix my own problem... im just too busy at work that i just dont have almost no time to be free and be here on xda

the htc amaze tmobile version has smile and blink detection. maybe you can base your mod off that apk instead.
