nope, there never was a real issue that an XML edit won't fix. What everyone should understand is NONE of these builds are meant for a slider phone and we do our best to bring something new to the table all to find out users are to lazy to turn hardware keyboard off at boot.

I'll test as soon as I'm back to this ROM.! Which shouldn't be long. All i know is my device is really making me angry and I'm almost going to lay it down for my single core slider. Lag is out of this world no matter what rom ugh

Small problem camera works fine but can't record a video in both modes 720 or 480....... I'm going to a santa parade tomorrow with my kids and want to take some vids.... any ideas

I never got camcorder working on the older paranoid release, either. One thing I did notice, however, is that video playback on paranoid seemed to be borked for me as well on the old paranoid release. I see now that a fix is listed in this thread and says to turn off the HW overlay. Might be worth a shot if you haven't tried.


On another note,ZOMG YOU GUYS!

I haven't been on xda in probably 2 months, and I log in to find first a stable JB, then to find this insane combo of paranoid + AOKP. This is just about the sweetest ROM Ihave seen for any phone, ever. Massive thanks Matt, Kornyone, Tbalden, and Strapped.

Thank you! I appreciate your help on getting the keyboard error to disappear. I just disabled the keyboard in my "App" settings. Great ROM & super fly. Me gusta, me gusta.

I'll look at this tonight I'm staying with my mom to keep her safe while dad goes hunting so I'll have some time to play, from the sounds of it this could be a media_profiles.XML so I'll mess with that and go from there

I am getting impeccable battery life with this ROM, using no special governors or anything. 4 hours screen on time and 18 hours off the charger. Thanks so much matt and strapped! :beer:

From what I have seen the official JB T-Mo roms don't use an apk for WiFi calling like the previous versions. The functionality is baked into the ROM itself. Getting that baked in to CM10 will be a chore from what I understand.

well wouldya look at that. Didn't see that comforting wifi calling icon and got worried. I have almost no service in my apt and kinda rely on it. Just tested it and it seems to be working. Thanks!

well there is a wifi calling app in the jellybean tmo builds but they are tied into the system some how. these roms as far as i know do NOT include wifi calling because no one has cracked it yet. the only 2 jellybean phones that i know of to have wifi calling is the note and sgs3 both samsung so the libs needed would have to be hacked to work on our phone. and that is IF someone can figure out which libs it depends on.

something weird just happened, I pulled out the charger and my screen was all black, I know the phone was still awake because I still could unlock the screen and else (I remember my icons' locations. So I rebooted the phone with QuickBoot, and it's back to normal. Is this something new to the bugs list?

No, was the buttons lit? My EVO Shift does that and its because it has a bad flex cable

    A: YES , If its first time you are flashing the ROM

    Q: I Can't see media in gallery or apollo. What To Do ?

    A: Make sure you don't have corrupted files in SDcard, best way to check is to copy all your SDcard data to PC.

    Q: Why Phone soft reboot's while playing video?

    A: Disable HW overlay in Settings>>Developer Options. It's a known issue

    Q: I want only 1 row of toggles/power widget, not both, how to disable one of them?

    A: To disable CM's power widget, you know how. To disable AOKP toggles, ROM Control>Toggles>Enabled toggles>De-Select everything

    Q: How to turn on Nav Ring feature in AOKP ROM Control?

    A: You need to install gapps, Google Now to be specific, because it's a default Nav Ring

    Q: I flashed this awesome ROM but I don't have Google Apps. why?

    A: You simply have to download the gapps from download page and flash via recovery.

    A: "The Android logging system provides a mechanism for collecting and viewing system debug output.     A: Open Terminal Emulator Application and write following :

    ADDITIONAL UI CHANGE FAQs​

    Global density :

    Is the one used by your hardware configuration and all non PAD touched applications. It's the old one that you can change with build.prop, and this one can get you outside of tablet mode - Phone mode. Don't touch it if you dont know what you're doing. This one has nothing to do with PAD or PAL, as it's the one designed by google.

    Default SystemUI DPI :

    User interface density, can be reflected on statusbar, Recent apps, etc. This one can't get you outside of your current mode.

    Default User DPI :

    Is the one used when your app is not on pad.prop list, so when you run a new app that it's installed by you, and not on /system/app, it will run at this density. This one cant get you outside your current mode neither.

    Some Other Facts :
    • You can't change framework dialogs (like when you hold power button) density on tab mode yet, don't waste your time (it's limited from 120 to 128 global density so it's not a huge difference)
    • Keyboard must be on the same global density, for tablet mode (i have not tried phone mode)
    • Disable Settings>System>Statusbar>Auto Hide statusbar
    • If you see the dock on launchers in tablet mode, and not the old layout, this is NORMAL, it was ugly before, and now it's preset to phone mode at 240 density. If you want to get the old ugly tablet mode for launchers, go to settings > paranoid > hybrid settings > list apps, select your launcher, put density to 120-140 and put in on tablet mode
    • I'm not the responsible that some apps, being on phone mode, and setted up to tablet mode looks ugly. Google is. Go blame google!
    • The message that appears every time that you change DPI or layout mode for any app IS NORMAL, we put in there so changes can be applied, APP IS NOT FORCE CLOSING, we're asking you to force close, please read at least!
