Nice to see you at work already Calk, used your Diamond kitchen+roms and can't wait to see what you and the rest of the community has in store. As far as the sd/usb issue goes, from what I've gathered/read, it just seems to be the underlying problem with the method in which we currently have to boot into recovery and flash roms. It is random from what I've gathered but I'm sure the more frequently you flash roms especially in succession will increase the chances of it occurring. That's why the fix for the Desire works on our Evo's, we use the same method for recovery and flashing roms.

This thread fixed both of my issues and saved me a ton of time. THANK YOU!!!

Could I add this line: oem enableqxdm 0, to my build.prop to prevent it from happening again?

Damn, this thread saved my arse...I too did the froyo update and didn't like it too much since things are not working well, so decided to go back, but man nothing was working and I was so closed of going to BB to return this phone and get a new one. Then I found this thread and now I have a perfect running Evo (rooted).

as our flashing of ROMs and developing increases, it would probably be best to sticky this thread to prevent lots of "i bricked my phone" posts! i'd rather not be answering lots of different posts linking to this if it could just be sticky at the top instead.
seems like a definite flaw in the desire/EVO series and everybody should be aware of this and know how to recover from it, IMO!

I have done the following but when I type reboot it says not permitted HELP PLEASE LOSING POWER...

cat /sdcard/flash_image > /data/flash_image
cat /sdcard/mtd0.img > /data/mtd0.img
chmod 755 /data/flash_image or chmod u+x /data/flash_image
/data/flash_image misc /data/mtd0.img

And that should fix the USB issue[/QUOTE]
