Hello everybody,
I have a Samsung Galaxy S4, i9505, withe the Snapdragon 600. It is also the AT&T variant (the i337). I do not know if that matters, but that is the phone. A couple days ago, I rooted it using this method: http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=2387577.
I rooted it successfully, and then I tried to install a recovery. I followed the steps listed in this guide. http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=2387577.
I did not realize that this was for the international version. That was for the i9500. So after that, the phone went a little crazy. It still works and is not bricked, but some things are different. There is no lock screen anymore. At the home screen, a dialog box pops up and shows some factory device information. When I go to turn it off, it just shuts down when I hold the power button, no dialog. It still works fine, but I want to know how to fix it. I want to see if I could find the original mmcblk0p10 file and somehow push it over. If anyone can proved this file for me, I would be very thankful.
The download mode still shows everything as official. Nothing reads as custom.
I know that I can probably fix this by flashing the recovery image, but I want to try to replace the mmcblk0p10 with the original file and see if it works. I want to learn how to fix it manually, if at all possible.
Thanks in advance.
