I just updated my Samsung Galaxy S3 with SuperSU from the PlayStore. My ROM: Android Revolution HD v20.1 (XXEMA1). SuperSU updated from the PlayStore, I ran SuperSU and updated the binaries. Everything worked. Until the next inquiry for Rights starts - then my SGS3 freezes. After pulling out the battery I started ARHD again - but the phone is dead after typing in the PIN of my SIMCard. So I had to restore my last backup (from sunday) and had to uncheck the automatic updates for SuperSU.
I'm flashing this ROM now to see if I can replicate ...
I had a strange request from supersu. "dump" requested root. I denied of course but couldn't find out which app it was. Could it be supersu that crashed? I didn't install any new app and updated to supersu 1.00 yesterday (pro version, Galaxy nexus 4.2.1, franco kernel, stockrom). That never happened before.
It could be, yes. Unfortunately, several people have now reported this, but so far I am unable to reproduce the problem - which is required for fixing it.
Working on it, though.
