Still get the same message

Changed my SD card from FAT32 to FAT(16) - used Win 7 to do this. Copied the abi-file to the SD-card.
Still get the message: "EBOOT7 Ver: V4.0.0 ExtROM:NLD" on top of the screen.
Any sollutions?

Use a Sd card with not more then 2 Gb.

as pinkdot said, what size is your microSD?

Mine was 2GB and when I tried using FAT32 failed, tried it again using FAT16 worked fine.

Hey, I did mine yesterday and worked fine!
but... just in case...

I used 1Gb Kingston SD, fat32, the same it was in use in the smartphone with the old ROM and working ok.

I don't know if there is something related, but I've never been able to use SD Cards formatted in Windows 7 in another devices, like mp3 players etc.

another last suggestion is to change, set to default when you format the card?
I don't think I am teaching anything new to you, but... maybe it is useful.

but im not the author of this ROM or any of the palm 500 roms, it is caramba_sda, hes the man behind all.

Read all posts on all pages, nice work.

Came across an old treo 500v, i want to replace the vodafone software,
came across this thread, really interested in trying it out.

There's multiple downloads on offer.

Which is the most stable for english use?

I'm Chinese, I updated my palm 500v last week,some question I got:

1.I tried to view Chinese character (ms_yahei) in the system and I got,but the font size is so large that my phone can't display normally.
2.Some services are startup when system on,it's not my will.

So,anybody could help me ?

if so you need to install ime-msjh.cab on your device, go here to get it

Hi all,

I've installed the rom on my palm.
But now i wanted to charge it, but it doesn't charge.
When I shut it down, it charges, when i boot it up, it doesn't.
Is there a fix for it ?

Downgrade from 6.1 ROM

Hi,

I installed the 6.1 rom onto my 500v but no programs appear in the program menu, it's just blank.

Can anybody point me to where I can get a rom to go back to the Vodafone 6.0?

Can you upload the cab file? I encountered the same issue with USB charging. I guess the cab worked but took a while until that.

Also, I have an internet service provider sim and I would like to be able to connect. Is this function disabled or not present in this ROM version by any chance?

I get one Treo 500V, I think is from Spain.
At first sight seems dead,no power,no bootloader.
But when connected to cable and try to power keyboard light have one short and after one long flash light.
Red end key and power bring up screen with option "borrar todos los datos?" but up or down key just shut it down.
I have tried some *.abi files on 512MB card with down and power but nothing happens.

Any ideas what to do?

Hello,

I really liked my_rose 3v. It made new life for my Palm treo
But I have few things missing and would like to ask your help.
I was using word and excel applications in my treo. New os does not have one. May be someone could upload these applications.

And is it possible to make some program to convert treo to USB storage when connecting to pc?
