Hi Dorimanx,

After a long and great journey with my Samsung Galaxy S2 (i9100), I finally got my LG G2 D802 this monday.

I told myself to try the LG stock version, but I couldn't help myself and had to lose that junk for a nice AOSP based rom.
Enter ParanoidAndroid 4.0 beta with stock kernel...

Because the battery life on my i9100 wasn't that well, I was very curious to see what the D802 had to offer.

So I did a clean install, removed some useless apps, installed greenify (greenified most apps) and greenpower (sync every 4 hours).
Then I set my network to only 3G and set my screen brightness at automatic (this means low, because I'm mostly inside).

First of all this rom is super stable. I haven't had any SOD or freeze since flashing it.

How about battery life?
Well to my surprise I reached an off charger time of 34 hours and a screen on time of 9 hours and 36 minutes!!!
Did I mention this was reached with my first full cycle?! WOW!!

I haven't got this device long enough to know if this is normal screen on time, but either way I'm verry happy with it!

I wanted to share this with you because I hope this may trigger you to make the jump to an AOSP (kitkat) compatible kernel.

Thanks for your hard work, your dedication and your awesome kernels! I hope AOSP roms can get some Dorimanx love too!

Keep up the good work!

The "problem" you're referring to in comparison to stock kernel isn't a real problem.
On stock (mod) kernel wifi wakelocks are hidden.
That doesnt mean they're not there

Advantage is a little bit more battery but a big disadvantage is that notifications come in 1~5 minutes late.

Read back pages and you'll get the idea

nope, i dont think it's will work with NEW wifi driver, as Mirracast APP should be updated to use new WIFI controls to activate miracast.

so i will not go to old driver, = no mirracst use STOCK for it. sorry.

I have 2 requests for you.
1st can you add Westwood+ TCP congestion please? it seems to do miracles especially on 3G.
2nd can you please add some explanations in sysctl section on your app? Just 2 words for every tweak.

Westwood+ TCP congestion = bull [email protected] no change and only NET bugs.

maybe later.

if you want to know what changed under every tweak see and GOOGLE

That was helpful thanks.
About westwood theoretically has increased throughput due to it's estimation algorithm. In practice i've seen with my previous phone (Gnex) that when connected to relatively bad networks (Greek 3G) it's way better than plain reno, but its up to you if you want it or not.

give me proof written and screen captured then it's will be REAL, till then it's CRAP that someone invented year ago. and no proof till now.

no real tests or compare reno to westwood then = crap = placeboo.

dont believe all you read. till it's proven.

I don't believe everything I'm reading I just saw a better behavior on 3G. It doesn't have higher top speed it's just much more responsive and keeps higher average speed. As I said it's up to you after all you're the developer and your kernel is already a beast.
