EDIT: Also, there's no sound without attached earphones to act as antennas, but that's not really an issue.

EDIT 2: Volume adjustments don't seem to have an effect.

Antenna is normal. Without it only the cheaper Galaxy 5 etc. series works decent.

Try Oct 27a: http://d-h.st/JJ6

Volume control might work better if you enable/check Debug-> Silent Loop and restart Spirit. Or uncheck it and set Debug-> Play Audiotrack to "Enable" and restart Spirit again.

EDIT: Oh, yeah, do we Blame Samsung ?

98% perspiration.

I think the Samsung FM driver is different than other devices. RSSI doesn't appear to work, and same with volume I guess.

On the free version I think this adb shell command would work to set volume to maximum of 7:

/data/data/com.mikersmicros.fm_fr/files/ssd 4 2 67 7

Range should be 0 - 7. I can put this into the code. I look forward to a bump in sales as encouragement.

But time now for pizza, a gory "guy movie" and bed.

Will buy your app after my exam when you success.

Found one more bug...
The FM will mess up the CM volume settings.
The phone must be restarted to restore the settings back.

It's a "brute force" method that resets the entire audio system, but you can work around that by setting Debug-> Power Restart Media to "Enable".

Beats rebooting anyway.

Thanks ! I've re-enabled the GT-i9100g on Play.

I'd forgot I disabled it. I think Spirit was OK on stock ROMs, but I was getting tired of too many people purchasing and having no luck on CM or whatever. Hmm, I guess that's a good sign of sales to come.

Bummer is the Play version doesn't enable audio yet. With some deftness one might be able to run Free and another at the same time.

Or for customers, just send me an email for the latest test release or a license file that turns Free into Unlocked or Light.

Back in 8-12 hours.
