Can u please tell me where to write dd commands while installing kali linux on galaxy note 10.1
You have to use a terminal (from within Android). The terminal emulator app works perfect for this.
Can u please tell me where to write dd commands while installing kali linux on galaxy note 10.1
hmm, sounds good! thinking now about to flash cm10.1 also on my device...
One question: does armitage (GUI to metasploit) also work on the Note 10.1?
was anyone - anyhow - successful with this manual? http://docs.kali.org/armel-armhf/kali-linux-on-galaxy-note
There's nothing wrong with the instructions that they've provided. It works perfectly.
works nice ...
but is there any chance to add working repos in /etc/apt/source.list ?
You can modify it manually, type
sudo nano /etc/apt/sources.list
The sources.list has to be like this
deb http://http.kali.org/kali kali main contrib non-free
deb http://security.kali.org/kali-security kali/updates main contrib non-free
I have 2 questions:
1. Does it reboot with no issues?
2. How can I format internat SD card for this to copy?
hello,
then what appens to my usual recovery mode High on Android ?
your telling i ll get to choose between Kali and Custom recovery ?
root folder of internal sdcard is /storage/sdcard0 ?
1) yes no issues (just boot in revovery mode with power-button and volume-up button for Kali, or normal mode for standard image....
2) ???
ok i got the img and recovery ready in root folder (/storage/sdcard0/)
and i send dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0p6 of=recovery.img_orig
i dont get permission to write on the file. i have root and typed "su " in my terminal ...
where am i wrong ? =)
Ok found my way to write on the real root folder !
Now i have a last question, the say you may brick your device.
Does this mean flash mode would be brocken so i couldnt flash with odin ?
That is the last thing olding me back from doing the job =)
i have a lot if times the following issue....no idea how to skip this without a keyboard.......reinstall everything seems to be the only way....or not?
sudo e2fsck -y /pathto/sdcard/linux.img
works nice ...
but is there any chance to add working repos in /etc/apt/source.list ?
