thanx for replying.
But it still does not explain why the player goes into fast forward, as soon as the DAC is connected.

What I can say is that it worked well for me when I had it running with perseus Kernel... I don't have the phone anymore though. I use to use it with Spotify though. Try other players to see if that's the issue. I find a lot off people with that problem.

I shall of course try it with another cable for sure.
BTW I did try it with different players, they all go into fast mode, perhaps that's why there is no sound!
The phone must be detecting something, in order for its sound to get muted, and the players to act strangely, but what? I don't know.
Fiio are difficult to contact.

After some more testing, Fiio E07K works flawlessly in my SGH-T889, as it did in my N7100. It is probably a cable problem in your case.

I'm using toxic micro USB to mini USB.

Can you send me a link, as to where I can get one of your toxic cables.
Thanx

Apparently the guy is not selling them on ebay anymore:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/USB-Mini-...ble-4-5-inches-By-iBasso-Audio-/111036655521?

I have this one as well and works, but is slightly longer:

This one is reported to work but is crazy expensive (although very sexy):

So far I have tried the lindy cable, and a generic cable, with same results from both.
The player (either music or video) kicks into fast forward, when I have the external DAC plugged in, and obviously no sound from the DAC. I don't think I am gonna get a resolution here, since everybody is convinced it must be the cable. I have ordered another cable, but I doubt it solves my problem.

What's your current configuration on the note? (ROM and kernel).
