This thread has been created to provide MI5s feedback to @Arnova8G2 regarding his port of the Google Camera app.

Describe your experience (mostly what doesn't work as expected)
Provide logcats (the dev does not have your phone, so logs are needed if you want him to fix stuff)
Mention @Arnova8G2 when you post your feedback

Everything works great, except front cam portrait mode, its green..
Btw, im using Los15.1 and gcam config is Nexus6P

1st photo went ok
Until i changed to portrait mode with hdr+ (enabled both on settings)
Took a photo of my dog and got thos error
Now.im not sure if its because he's very ugly or any other bug

Oh and battery drain. Dropped 20% in 7-10 mins of playing with it (after deleting the app battery consumption was as usual)

And also after taking pics and going to gallery i can't find the pics, when going to google photos i c blank squares.

Also i get now freeze all the time gc5mod stopped.

Maybe better update here only BSG version, cause BSG optimize for Mi5s

His Version works sometimes much better than BSG

bsg's phone is mi5s too, his version is good for mi5s
For example, the front camera HDR+ and portrait mode.

Hi, may I have some questions?
1. Since BSG's mod is for Mi 5s, what's the difference between this and the original?
2. So this leads to the 2nd question, the 4 changelogs are about Arnova8G2's version of the original one?
3. The first "Fix video for Android 7.x", may I know what's the fix? I did have troubles using BSG's mod, that I couldn't have video stabiliser even the option is enabled.

You can install it beside BSG version so just try it

3. Motion photo can be enabled, but never worked

It seems I have to use google photo for review.

I don't know what information would be useful:
1. Rom: xiaomi.eu latest dev (miui 7.0)
2. settings: when using nexus 6p, it "failed to connect to camera", with "pixel 2017" it crashed as my second log
3. Other settings remaining unchanged(I remember)
4. I enabled api2 and slow motion xml, which are required by BSG camera

is that miui.eu already preenable camera2 api on stock. no need to enable anything using build.prop or magisk

Sure. I just added the file for slow mo, and the api 2 should be a detecting&replacing process . This shouldn't be a problem as BSG's mod is working fine. xiaomi.eu used to miss this api2(long time ago I'm not sure), maybe they added that line. Actually I remembered that Mi 5s is special that RAW photos can be taken without the hal3 line in build.prop, and the camera api level is full rather than hal3 compared with other devices.

Though I'm not sure about these information, enable api2 shouldn't cause crash, unless this mod uses a different implementation.

Version V6 beta does not work for Nougat though, it crashes on my phone, and indeed the changelog is saying, too:

"- Doesn't seem to work on Nougat (crash)"

Thanks to @Arnova8G2 for the great camera mod!
I installed GCam5.1.018-Arnova8G2-V1.1.apk on mi5s, LOS15.1 official, firmware 8.2.8.
1) Panoramas I kind of hit and miss. Most of the time I get some serious stitching mistakes. Anything I could do about that? Or a different camera app that works better?
2) Is there any way to change the antibanding setting? I found it in the stock camera app, but not here.
