Call Transferring

Is there a way with Android to transfer calls?

EX:
Phone 1 calls Phone 2
Phone 2 transfers to Phone 3
Phone 2 drops from call, leaving Phones 1 & 3 connected.

You're thinking of call conference. Yes it's possible. Just follow the steps in this article. When you've done that and want to end the call so the two others can talk, just hang up.

And do you know which carriers support having the person who started the call hang up without disconnecting the conference call? We're using T-Mobile with the BlackBerry Curve 9300 at the moment which has a "Transfer" option, but it doesn't work and a conference call is disconnected when the phone that creates the conference hangs up - the last step in the OP.

I just tried this on my DX2 with Verizon and no go...generally the person who starts the conference call has to stay connected or it drops the whole thing.
