So was wondering how do I flash the cyanogen mod 11s into the china edition of the one plus one? I have been googling it but found nothing much. Is there a thread whereby there is exact information like step by step way of doing it?

Just want to ask: If I buy the chinese version and flash CM 11S on it, will I be able to receive OTA updates?

The nexus 5 doesn't have an fm radio and it's a more expensive phone. That goes for the iPhone and s5 too. Is just not needed.

I'm OK without an FM radio, but it would have been nice. It's a fairly cheap and small component, but lots of phones don't have them. The last phone I had that actually had FM radio wasn't even a smartphone. I've got TuneIn (and unlimited data), and FM radio on my little mp3 player anyway.

Just received an invite and will be buying one tommorow. My question is will this phone be receiving the latest updates from the official oneplus team or will I have to root and install custom? Also, does this phone have volume rocker skip? I'm assuming hotspot is native??

Guys I have a question for those who got an invite and have already purchased the device.
So apparently whoever get an invite can invite 1 more person right? But how does he do that? Do they get some email, or they need to log into the website...?? How does that work?
A friend got an invite and bought his phone, but doesn't know how to send out an invite now.

there are not invites to share right now. but when you do get them, theyll be at https://account.oneplus.net/invite/overview and youll see a "use it" button and it will send them an email with a link to claim the invite. they will be prompted to log in to their oneplus account or create one if they dont have one already, and theyll see an invite under "invites to buy the one" and then they can hit the "use it" and buy the phone. invites that you share will only be good for 24 hours to keep them from being sold online.

Is there a button combo command list?

So far I know
1) Power + vol up = fastboot
2) Power + vol down = recovery
3) Power + vol up + vol down = soft reset (done by accident, user accounts deleted but installed apps intact)

Will need confirmation what does 3) actually do.

I'm actually looking for the button combo to get me out of a system hang, in lieu of a battery pull. That was how I found out 3) erased my user accounts.

EDIT: Pressing power button for ~10 secs did it.

Hello everyone!
So I was fortunate to get an invite and received my phone last night! Well I ran my phone down to 2% and plugged it in over night while I slept.
I woke up to find it only charged to 84% and the phone wouldn't charge anymore until I unplugged it and plugged it back in.

Anyone else experience this? Did my phone just get up to 100% then stop charging?

I looked at the battery stats and it said it was on battery power for 3 hours...but it didn't look like the battery was going down so I don't think it even hit 100%

Edit: I wasn't using the stock charger so that may be why... I was using the charger that came with my kindle.

Hi guys. I'm familiar with how to root devices however, this time around I want to root the one plus oneplusone and still be able to receive ota for 11s from cyanogen.

Would I be right if I said instead of flashing a custom recovery, I can boot to a custom recovery just for the sake of flashing supersu for root. That way, stock recovery is kept for ota ?

Should be. Just use fastboot boot recovery.img for booting into recovery.

    Hi.

So I have gone through and done a bit of tidying up of some off topic that was starting to get messy.

As a reminder, let's all remember that while this is an English speaking forum, not everyone speaks English as a first language and it may be harder to understand and communicate at times. I certainly can't speak any German or Japanese, or many other languages. That being said, it is very important for anyone that is having a problem and needs help, to do their absolute best to explain their problem/question in the clearest, most precise way that they can. You are more likely to get the help that you need if you do, and it will cause less confusion and frustration both for the person seeking help, and the person volunteering their time and knowledge to help with the problem.

Alright, let's get back on track and be sure to stay civil and respectful to everyone. :good:

Yes i am y r u moany at everyone that asks a simple question ive seen u do it in other responces we only need ur help not attitude next time think i wont bother asking

I'm "moaning" because I'm being kind enough to take time out of my day to try to help you, the least you could do is pay attention to the help you're being given. Asking the same question over and over and not actually absorbing the response only wastes both of our time. Provide links to other "moaning" responses of mine please and I'll give you perfectly rational and fair reasons for the tone of my post. I'm here to help you, and I'm putting in effort to do so, but it's only fair that you put in the effort too because you're the one benefiting from this.

An answer for all the people asking how to increase battery life !!
Frankly, I beg to differ. I have endured your video (yes, all of it) and must disapprove of it, especially in this thread. It is filled with controversial and dangerous changes that may jeopardize the integrity of the Android system and functionality in general. Some examples:
    • You speak badly of Greenify because it disables background application while earlier in the video you actually disabled background processes aggressively in developer settings. I'd like to remind you that Greenify has very clever algorithms to hibernate (not kill!) applications and has an excellent reputation in the Android ecosystem.
    • You're telling people to turn off ALL syncing processes without warning them of the implications. No syncing means no contact/calendar/notes backups and a pretty significant gap in user experience.
    • Saying that installing Xposed is easy, is true. But rendering an Android system useless with Xposed is easy as well. Please don't advertise this very powerful suite as 'another battery saving app'. Also, it's important to note that Xposed is not relevant to Nougat users for the time being.
