modified pit file flashing ?

Just another question,

did anyone succeed in modifying the PIT file for the TAB2 7 - P3110 ?

I used the tool PitMagic to the size of the FACTORYFS partition - to get more space on the DATAFS partition. But the odin just rejected it.

I succeeded in flashing the official ones here described.
Is the fact that we lack a signature at then end of a modified pit file causing this ?

Hey, I have 2 GT-P5113s.

I successfully flashed 1 up to 4.2.2

The second one is failing. I am trying to use the PIT files (check Repartition, select PIT, load 4.2.2 MD5 file) but I am getting "There is no PIT Partition.

This tablet just bootloops btw and I am unable to get into Recovery. I suspect it was modified or something. Co-Worker got these at a flea market.

Anything I am doing wrong or suggestions to get this working?

odin PIT file and re-partitioning GT-P5113

:confused:I am very very new to this forum.
I was just learning on ODIN, flashing firmware for GT-P5113 (I think this is US/Canada version of GT-P5110).
I was flashing firmware since it was stuck flashing SAMSUNG.
However, I think I made damage to the partition and was getting unable to mount /system.
That is why I was trying to perform re-partitioning and was looking for .PIT file and found at here.

I found the .pit file(signed_espresso_20120220_16G.pit) here and tried with odin (V 1.85), but I still cannot re-partition.
I am getting the following error:

Skazzy3 and kt-Froggy mentioned OP. What is OP and where is it?

Than you all.

You said you were able to 1 unit to 4.2.2.
The one you did it successfully, did you repartition?
If you did it, which PIT file did you use?

For most of Samsung's devices you can't flash the PIT file alone, but just aside together with an entire stock ROM

Guys I've got my hands on the original pit files for the tab 2 variants ( 10.1 & 7.0 )

    What are pit files ?

A pit file is a kind of file often used in samsung phones / tablets , these files contain partition tables of the device and the spaces of them with the arragment of each partition with there corresponding mount points ; these files can difenitly dangerous and can kill your tab with a breeze if not used with care

What do pit files really do ?

Pit files can help in fixing a broken mmc for ex:
    wQuXY.png

    How to flash :

    Start Odin Download link

    You should have this Window

    Select

    0rPHz.png

Make sure repartition checked and choose the pit file using the button that says pit

How to choose the correct file ?

Know your model number and download the package with that model in it the pits are a zip in a rar file !!

I have warned (i didnt !) you these have not been tested and i will never ever ever test those use them with your own responsiblity about what you are doing so ...

for p3113 use p3110 files same for p5113 use p5110
