I'm happy to hang onto this since It's getting ICS, by the time I upgrade, there will most likely be a tegra 4 device on the market. God knows.

Yeah, the HTC One x will be my next device as well

In the meantime I´m still trying to get my beautiful DHD with this exceptional ROM (I strayed a bit but came back ;) ) to connect to the Eduroam network but failing over and over...

What I have done so far:
- Replaced the wpa_supplicant file in system/bin with a couple of others
- installed eduroam fixer
- manually configured wpa_supplicant.conf in data/misc/wifi via root browser
- changed permissions of wpa_supplicant.conf,
- installed advanced wifi config editor
- full wipe and reflash 5.1.0-> 5.1.1
- installed alogcat

What I have learned now is that my device finds the network but it cannot authenticate, it reads: network id:.... authentication timed out in the logfile. The device in in a "scan->authenticate->disconnected->scan" loop but the login information are still saved in the .config file

I restored my files with titanium, should i try another reflash and not restore? That would of course make me lose all my data and configurations..

Any other suggestions?

Thx and all the best, S_W

Did you restore the system files using titanium?? From which ROM?
If possible try setting up from scratch. It sounds like authenication, I hate to ask stupid questions but are you using the right security tokens, etc?

The capacitive buttons lights are not always on. It depends on the light. They only come on when it is dark.
There is a capacitive light setting under the Misc Option in the Leedroid tweaks. Try that. I think there was a patch to keep it up always.

Hmm, then I can't explain it :-/ only thing I can think of is to make sure you actually have mobile internet enabled while hotspot is enabled.

Sent from my DHD running Leedroid! IT'S LEEEEEEDDRROOIIID!!! XD

Hey, thanks again for reply. Checked and mobile net is on ok. I can actually use my phone to connect to net with no issues. I tried my xoom using my wifes rooted orange san francisco (to make sure no issues with xoom) and it connected to net straight away.

Confusing.

If you don't mind, what radio and ril are you using?

Are radios the system used for connecting to net

Could my ril be an issue in my hotspot not working correctly? If so, how would I find out my ril?

So just to re clarify, I can set up a hotspot, I can connect my xoom to my dhd but cannot connect to net on xoom via dhd, but can connect to net on dhd.

Anybody any ideas?

The radio or RIL doesn't strictly matter usually. Even unmatched ones will function normally. Your RIL is the default one that comes with this ROM.

If you want to flash to make sure, I would recommend you flash the matching radio to the RIL that's in these ROMs, there is a thread (i can't remember it off the top of my head) search for desire HD radios, it has all the currently available radios, and the RILs that go with them, pick the radio for this ROMs base and flash it using your computer, not recovery.

If you are not familiar with radio flashing, then you can look at your current radio in settings - about phone - software info - more, the base band is the radio version, use the same thread I mentioned before, but this time, look for the RIL that matches your radio, and flash the RIL using recovery.

Personally I don't think the mismatch was the problem, so I don't really think it will solve it, but its worth a try. If it doesn't solve it, I would recommend you full wipe, and flash fresh. Might be worth waiting a few days though since Lee is working on a new version.

Sorry I can't be more specific with some of the information, but I'm in bed on my phone, no pc atm. Good luck.

Ok, that didn´t help either. Even with a completely fresh install and nothing restored I cannot connect to the eduroam Network.

Maybe it will work with the next version, we will see..

Hi, I've been looking at the leeroid tweaks ( Zeus mod?)and it seems to be missing the status bar settings I have the 4.0.1 version but the cdma version of the tweaks has 4.0.3. Tried flashing it but o got stuck. If I flash the gsm version, I just get a messed up os. I've been searching for an anwsear everywhere but can't find it. Oh, and when I get the dc on the status bar I should have hidd the wimax setting but can't find it. Please help, I'm desperate

The network uses RADIUS and I need the Telekom Root CA 2 Certificate; Phase 1: TTLS; Phase 2: PAP, if that is what you needed..

And authentication happens via shared secret.

Yeah, that's what I need. Duh! That should work. We have something similar at workplace and I can connect to it. The certificate is installed I assume and of coz the magic code entered. Ok, my head has hit a roadblock unless someone is waiting to fly me to Germany to fix it. hahahaaaa....

Ok, it is cheap to wait for Lee's next release. :D

Thanks for taking the time. No issues with flashing radios, tried a couple and neither make a difference. I agree, will wait patiently for new build like everyone else and do a full wipe, hopefully the wee bug will work itself out.

Where are you getting the LeeDroid tweaks from?? That seem to have come from the Evo3D thread which is a different set completely. Bad idea trying to flash that.

    FAQ

Q: How do I flash this ROM?
    Requirements
    • You will first need to ROOT your DHD.
    • Apply Radio S-OFF/, S-OFF
    • Install Clockwork Recovery: The easiest way is to root your phone as above and download Rom Manager from the Market, which has an option to install C'Work Recovery.

Once you have done as above
    1. Drop LeeDrOiD_HD_V5.0.X.zip on you SD card
    2. Check the MD5# matches the one in post 1#
    3. Ensure you have more than 40% Charge & Unplug your DHD.
    4. Boot into recovery (either via rom manager or by powering up with the vol- button held)
    5. Select "backup&restore" then backup your existing ROM. (usually referred to as a "Nandroid" backup)
    6. If you want a clean install, scroll to "wipe data/factory reset" (this step is recommended but not always required)
    7. Select flash zip from SD card
    8. Select the LeeDrOiD_HD_V5.0.X.zip
    9. Wait for the flashing process to complete and reboot

    Q: What is A2SD+
    • A:
    • A2SD+ Moves your apps & Dalvik cahche to a hidden EXT partition on your MicroSD
    • You will be required to format you SD card with 2 partitions as laid out below

How do i set up my MicroSD ready for A2SD+
    • A:
    • Backup all data on you SD card (this will be Formatted)
    • The card should be formatted with your standard FAT32 partition 1st followed by an EXT3 partition (I would recommend a minimum 512mb)
    • Linux users use GParted or a similar software.
    • For everyone else I would recommend using Rom Manager or CWM
    • Once you have downloaded ROM manager from the market, open the app and click partition SD Card, Select your EXT size and set 0mb for swap
    • Restore your data to your SD.
    • Flash the A2SD+ Patch
    • Boot << Please be aware, 1st boot may take a while depending on how many apps you have installed.

    Vdd levels sysfs interface

This mod was created by snq- for my Classic desire builds.

The vdd levels interface allows you to adjust cpu voltages on the fly, you can either do this via terminal, Gscript or by dropping a script in init.d.... The following script is an example with vdd levels increased by 25mV on all frequencies ;)

you can adjust these values accordingly by ammending the 2nd string to any value between min 750mV max 1350mV, these values will only be persistent on reboot if you have a script in the /system/etc/init.d folder with the below syntax

    usage:
query: (output: first column: frequency (kHz), second column: vdd* (mV))

    #!/system/bin/sh
    #
    #CONFIG_CPU_FREQ_VDD_LEVELS

    echo '245000 925' > /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/vdd_levels
    echo '422400 950' > /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/vdd_levels
    echo '460800 975' > /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/vdd_levels

    echo '1804800 1450' > /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/vdd_levels

incrementing/decrementing all levels by a specified amount* (mV):
    echo '-25' > /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/vdd_levels
    echo '+25' > /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/vdd_levels

adjusting the supply voltage* (second value, mV) at a specific frequency (first value, kHz):
    echo '998400 1250' > /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/vdd_levels

*: vdd values must be a multiple of 25 (enforced by the interface; the regulator doesn't accept other values - found out in the hard way)

please note that the values set through this interface will only be written to the acpu table - they will only become effective when the specific frequency is (re)set by cpufreq

i took the input parser from iscaela's code - thanks for it
do not apply this patch if you plan to use avs

to query the constraints of the regulator ("max_microvolts", "min_microvolts") or the voltage currently supplied to the cpu ("microvolts" (uV)):

    grep '.' /sys/class/i2c-adapter/i2c-0/0-0048/regulator/regulator.0/*

Q: How do I remove /system applications that I don't want or need?
A: For the above there are several options.
Please take care when deleting HTC proprietary apk's, there are a lot of dependancies in HTC ROM's.. NANDROID BACKUP 1st
    • Option 1: Remove them from the zip prior to flashing the ROM, this is best done with either Winrar or z7zip, DO NOT EXTRACT THE ROM, simply navigate to the folder within the zip and delete the apk's.
    • Option 2: Download Root Explorer from the market, navigate to the folder and hit mount R/W then delete the apk's.
    • Option 3: Use adb or OtADB(an extremely handy ADB GUI).

    Hi All

I just thought I should/would pop in a few of the threads and sadly say a little goodbye to all of you, sorry I never had the chance to return, life, work and time no longer permits me to uphold my commitments to xda and I am expecting to face a legal battle in the coming months for access too my 3 children.

Had a fantastic run on xda over the last few years and I have made some great friends who I am sure I will remain in contact with for many years to come.

All the best for 2013 and in your future endeavours, I will return one day.

Many thanks for all of your support and dedication.

Back in the kitchen tonight guys.

EVO 3D really doesn't seem like its worth my time, 3 days solid on the beast and nothing but benchmark results and a thanks button click.. whilst I love what I do and the fact that so many people love what i do I have to weigh up my options and trim down my portfolio, I seem to get much more in return for the DesireHD, Desire, sensation & flyer, I have never been the kind of dev that is out to make a few quid but it helps me justify my time to the missus lol
