hi everyone!
I recived my case today. Really good quality for the price. It's a hybrid case TPU gel ( in blue )for the perimeter of the phone and hard plastic for the back. l've token the blue and the clear one. they are 2 screen portector but I haven't tried to install it because I have a Skinomi.

My white version of this case arrived today too! I am very pleased with it protection wise. A nice fit and decent protection including the camera lens. Finally. I can put my phone down normally, not like it's a jar of nitroglycerin.

However I think I'll be ordering the black version as the white one is too white, and doesn't match the off-white of the phone so it looks a little odd.

I am going to try an experiment with this white one. Going to drill a series of ventilation holes in the area underneath the camera lens to see if I can have a case that;

1) Looks good.
2) Offers full protection.
3) Doesn't half WiFi signal.
4) Doesn't cook the phone when charging.

I've bought 5 cases so far and they've all fallen foul of one of those so far.

For anyone looking for a cheap but serviceable case that protects everything well, I've been using this one I picked up on ebay
$(KGrHqR,!o!E9c-70nskBPomh+)z(!~~60_12.JPG

The camera lens is well covered, so that you can lay it down face up - and the lip on the front of the case is proud enough to protect the screen if you put it face down.

I'll try to get some pics when I get my Desire Z camera working on the Sense 4 ROM :)

The plastic looks and feels a bit cheap, and the white one I got is starting to get a little grubby, but it feels like it will put up with a lot of abuse.

The power button and volume buttons are covered by the case rather than cut outs, which should help keep dust out, and I've had no real problems with the case buttons responding to a firm touch.

It's also not too bulky imo, and still lets some of the design of the phone show through. The clear back shows off the logo nicely too.

It's no Otterbox I'm sure, but for 3.49 including a sock I don't think you can go too wrong...

Is the stand / flap part removable, or permanently attached? If the latter, I think it'd just annoy me too much...

Permanently attached, and yes its fiddly and gets annoying so have stopped using it.... But good for the stand part and protecting the screen if you don't have a screen protector.

I received mine today and what can I say.. Screen protectors: perfect fit, no loose edges and I can't even notice that I have put that film on the screen..

Case: very tight fit, excellent product! On backside, it is kinda ugly but it will do its job, protect phone. And most of all, it will protect camera lens!

Just ordered this:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/290705413...X:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649#ht_4191wt_1037

2 cases and 2 screen protectors for less than £4!

quite liked this design, when i saw them on ebay for about £5. 2 for less than £4 with screen protectors is a bargain!

will post up my experience when i get them.

Bought this from ebay yesterday and I think its looks great:D. The case is in two parts - one part is soft silicone and a hard back bit that you clip on. I've attached pics so you can have a look. The buttons are covered but as you are pressing on the silicone its easy to press.

I can't post links but if you type into ebay HYBRID SILICONE SKIN you might find it. the seller is g5 online

I got it for a bargain at £1.49 but it looks like it gone up since I bought it

It does indeed look very nice thanks ;) I think I'll be ordering one. Basically a cheap version of the Otterbox Commuter case by the looks of it....

This is the link for those who might want it - £1.99 at the moment, though there are people selling what appears to be the same item for £4.90..

As per a few posts before yours, I also have this case.

However, although protection is good, aftera couple of days the white edges are picking up some blue coloring from being in my jeans pocket. Looks rough.

Recommend people stay way from the white version.

This looks like the best option to protect that lens on our phone.
How is the finish and fit of this case. Looks good to be honest in pictures, but wanted to know how it feels in hand. I wouldnt mind adding little bulk to the phone. This phone scares me without case. Every time I am handling it, I am talking with myself "Dont drop it, dont you dare drop it."

They are flush with it but no actual protection

So if you set the phone down on its back on a table, the lens still touches the table even with the case on?

Disappointing, if so. These look quite nice, and I was considering picking one up. The price is reasonable, and the selection of colors is superb:

Any chance you could take a close-up photo of the case showing the lens? And can you clarify -- does it lift the lens off the table at all, even slightly?

Here are full-res pics of all colors btw:

The case feels smooth and slightly rubbery - only problem I can see is there is no added texture on the sides to give you more grip:(. The case does feel quite sturdy and adds a little bit of bulk. The case is a little hard to put on as you really have to give it quite a push before it fits in, but it does make me wonder the hard part of the case might break if you keep taking it in and out of the case.

Buttons such as the power button and volume switch are easy to press compared to the other case I bought and I do really like the way it protects the lens :p
