mix is a mix (as the name says

) from Cm10 and AOKP sources with addons
Plain C-RoM is just from Cm10 sources with addons

You should temporarily disable the OTA application in Settings/Apps

Bro can you check in settings/mobile networks. Be sure the "data enabled" is ticked, also the "use only 2G" unticked.
Also pls check that you selected the correct Network Operator in APN. This APN selection and setup is usually automatically made by your SIM Card/Network provider, but maybe for some reason it wasn't setup properly.

I want to try this rom. What is the best way to install this rom? I am now on ICS 4.0.4.
Need I to go back to stock GB, then ICS, then JB or what? I want to start clean
