Yea, even I am waiting on the battery 100% thing being fixed. Hope it would get set right soon :)
This is the new way Samsung is reporting the battery life in 2.2.1 kernels, so it wont be 'fixed' unless Samsung decides to change the battery level code again.

The battery life is actually the same, it's just the battery level reading that is different. Maybe this way is more accurate.

Not all the audio improvements in Q-T4 come from voodoo sound v2. I've made several additional improvements on top of v2, but they should be 'backward-compatible' to v2.

Of course, I know how to make those changes now because of supercurio's work on the source code. I'm discussing these changes with supercurio to see if he'll want to include them in the 'standard' voodoo sound.

If this kernel had OC/UV, not only would it be perfect, but the universe might implode.

LOL!!!! ya know it was my impression that the paragon kernel was supposed to be just that but really it was just not stable at all with the OC/UV included. but hey ive said it before i just have a really picky captivate is all. i still find myself comming back to this kernel after testing a few of the others so that counts for alot. actually im on firebird2 right now but im seeing some problems that matter to me at least lol. who knows, maybe someday we will have an easily selectable OC kernel for everyone (1.2 *me*, 1.28, 1.3, 1.4 etc etc) but whatever im impressed to see what stock clock can do as opposed to when i first got this phone:D

Just wanted to check, but has anyone had any headphone control issues with K12P? I use both the wired headset and a Motorola S9-HD BT headset for music and since I have flashed K12P, the controls won't work on either. I know they worked on the wired headphones because I used it last Sunday, so I'm not sure what it is. Figured it was safe to ask though. Thanks.

Hey just applied your kernel and was wondering if it was normal not to see anything under "Kernel Version" in "about phone"?

I am running Cognition 3.04, things seem to be working (i wanted the voodoo sound improvements mainly) fine but i am still pretty new to all this so i thought i would ask if i messed up lol.

thanks in advance!

Some roms do not display kernel info correctly. Did cog have voodoo originally? If so it is easy to tell which kernel you have by going into recovery. If you have ulk options you have this kernel

    Updated test: K12Q-T7:

    This version is unbelievably smooth!

Android Logger (logcat) disabled by default.
Kernel debug messages have been disabled.
Fixed the super loud notifications with Voodoo Sound.

    Changes from K12P:

    - Disabled Android Logger (can be re-enabled via Tweaks)
    - Disabled all kernel debug messages (printk) for efficiency
    - Changed boot logo to I897 logo for AT&T Captivate version
    - Changed /cache to ext4nj in recommended ext4 lagfix to fix large Market downloads
    - Optional IPv6 Privacy support in Tweaks
    - Voodoo Sound v2 compatible
    - Fixed loud notification problem with headphones
    - Fixed popping / clicking noise when music and FM radio is stopped / started
    - Better FM Radio sound:
    - - Really removed the high pass filter and DRC from FM Radio (restores full bass)
    - - Turn on 4FS mode for ADC in FM Radio (smoother high frequencies)
    - - Turn on 128x oversampling for ADC and DAC in FM Radio mode
    - Adjusted volume of FM Radio and Media Playback to be similar
    - General sound quality improvements:
    - - Maximized digital mixer output to improve SNR and resolution
    - - 128x oversampling option in Voodoo Sound enabled by default
    - - Explicitly disable DRC and NG during media playback, if +1.5dB mode is NOT selected

For the AT&T Captivate version, ignore changes for FM Radio.
    8
    Reserved for future use.

    Test version K12S-T3:

    - Added 3-pole headset calling support: voice calls go via normal stereo headphones if attached, otherwise they go via the earpiece
    - Fixed mic problem, now the mic works
    - Voodoo app headphone amplifier control also controls headphone output level for headphone voice calls
    - Voodoo Sound v3

Credit goes to xcaliburinhand for some of the source code changes.
Unfortunately xcaliburinhand's patch didn't work out of the box - the mic didn't work. I had to modify the driver further to get the mic to work.

*** Note: The voice call sound doesn't automatically switch between the earpiece and headphones if you plug-in or unplug the headphones while the call is in-progress. You have to toggle the speaker mode to make it switch.

SpeedMod + Voodoo Sound test version!

    K12L-T5:

    Changes from K12K:
    - FM Radio sound quality improvement: removed Dynamic Range Compression
    - Voodoo Sound v1: FM radio bass fix, controllable headphone output via app
    - rear speaker volume +1 for media
    - light sensor polling interval changed to 2s instead of 0.5s
(saves battery, more stable brightness levels)
    - light sensor sensitivity adjusted so that the screen doesn't turn bright so easily
(saves battery and reduces screen burn)
    - adjustments to IO Tweak (super smooth now!)
    - changed battery level polling interval to 60 seconds, from 5 seconds

Note that you need Supercurio's Voodoo app to adjust the headphone level. If u don't install it, the default level is the same level as K12K (+1 from Nexus S, or +3 from SGS).

PS. The FM radio sound is really awesome after those voice filters have been removed!
