USD:148.99 for a Quad Core phone, with full Android functionality. Is working flawlessly here
Some cons though: Weak GPS/WiFi/Bluetooth/radio signals in general, and not to mention terrible Camera(not even close to 13MP quality, but again we are talking about a 150 Dollar phone. If I wanted a phone with carl zeiss optic, then I should have spend more money :laugh:.
Also to small internal memory. I had to Swap internal SD with External SD, problem solved. Needed root, but my phone was prerooted when delivered.

This is the only Firmware Download i find on Google and This Download is corrupt... The Firmware file is damaged... i cant extract the Rom....

Flash tool says its a MTK6582_s00 Chip?????? its not a Quadcore 1.2 it runs @ 1.3 Ghz and it has no powervr GPU its a Mali400!!!!!!! ****ing Chinacrap
yes its similar but the S9500 has 2 hardware versions.... MTK6589 and MTK6582..... i found the rom for 6589 but not for 6582...... 6589 rom gives me a fatal error

yes u can with Mtk droid tools. I will receive my haipai in a few days, perhaps tomorrow with some luck, and i will extract the ROM as soon as possible.

Dont work... droid tools not recognize the phone...... phone is rooted and usb debugging is activated.... :crying::crying::crying:
You should have a problem with the drivers. Make sure in the peripheral management that you don't have a yellow triangle.
Better to use only Windows XP and 7even. Windows 8 is not effective.
Better to use Pdanet drivers too.

I've extracted succesfully the ROM with MTKdroidtools (without any errors ^^), but impossible to push it back with SP Flash Tool. The ROM is uploading now on my Hotfile. I'll give you the link as soon as it's finished.
I've compiled a TWRP and CWM Recovery, but same problem, impossible to push the files back in the phone, for the moment no tools are made to work with MT6582 devices :/
Fastboot= error no recovery partition
MobileUncle Tools= the recovery.img is not applied
SP Flash Tool= error 8038. I have to change all the Hexadecimal datas, but impossible to readback the created file to the phone.
So for the moment i'm stucked, in the awaiting of good tools.

It is a miracle! In one moment I turned on the phone but it wrote some fail. And after that I installed firmware from above again (thanks to Neodragon12). And the phone is working But now another problem The phone doesn't recognize sim-cards. I've tried to change imei and other options. It seems that drivers of radiomodule is damaged. I"ve read that I can replace the working file "modem.img" which is in /system/etc/firmware/
Neodragon12 (or someone else with mtk6582) could you please copy and archive the folder "firmware" in /system/etc and "nvram" in /data/ from your phone and sent to my e-mail jawdett@gmail.com? Or maybe someone would make a backup of your phone using CarlivTouch recovery for the Haipai A9500 MT6582 from above. Please help, I would be very grateful to you.
