Pixelhouse, this is an issue we cannot fix, as Google has removed that option in Android 4.x, sorry.
Could you perhaps add this option for rooted users, since it can be altered when rooted.
I ask this because like Sync it can be a huge battery saver when used properly with a task, i think some people would like to have that option.

Thanks again.

I'll need to check in with our engineers to see what could be done. I know that currently, on our own Nexus test devices running 4.2.x, the GPS enable-disable function works fine with root enabled. How this applies (or doesn't) to non-stock OS devices is an unknown.

I see, you are asking for a new conditional option, which is a set of days only. That isn't something we have in Impel currently, so I'll have to put this as a request for a future version of the app to the engineering team. Thanks for asking about it.

Thanks! Really appreciate real customer service!

Just a quick request.
Would it be possible to add the possibility for certain selected contacts to ring through and set the volume to ring at, when the phone is in silent mode at night so that only those contacts get through. This is an option in the Motorola Smart Actions I really miss on my Sony.
By the way great app:)

Hay_wire, that may be a complicated request to fulfill. We had a similar request some time ago, except instead of phone calls they wanted emails to do the same trick: IF <thisguy@work.net> emails <myname@work.net> THEN set alert volume to 5 and play sound Droid AND THEN set alert volume to 0.

It is a pretty complicated thing to do, believe it or not, because Impel doesn't know when the sound event has started or stopped, at least not using the Android APIs that we currently use. I will ask the engineers again to see what they think, but I would say that this request may be quite a ways off from showing up in a release.

Impel is an automation and task creation utility for your phone or your tablet running Android 2.1 through 4.0.

Unlike other utilities, Impel is designed to be simple to use, easy to maintain, very low on memory consumption and polite to system resources (runs as a service or as an app - you choose). Root features are available but it runs just fine without root (su features will be hidden). It is worth noting that on Galaxy Nexus devices there is a force close issue if you use the lock screen camera button. We know about this issue and are working on a fix for this now.

Give Impel a try and see if you like it, then let us know. We're a small developer with some great talent and fast feedback response times, we're just looking for more customers and feedback. There are two versions of the app available in two different storefronts:

Free version with in-app Plus upgrade (no ads) :

I like it. The U.I is much friendlier when compared to a "Similar ;) " app.

May have to upgrade now. I like it.

    Thanks and regards
