    Ladies & gentlemen,

this is for everyone, who still prefers froyo, because it is stable, mostly bug-free (exception: scroll-bug) and has a long battery-life.
I tried a few GB-roms and CM9, but they all have issues, so I reverted back to froyo.

The sad thing is: if you once tried ICS, Froyo looks very frumpy compared to it.

Froyo has not a Theme-Chooser, so I decided to pretty up some parts of the base-rom by myself.
It will not be a one-to-one ICS copy, but rather something similar.

I started with this Froyo 2.2.2 rom as base: Light-v2 by kpbotbot

In the /system/framework - folder I modified the following files:

    framework-res.apk
    (icons, colors, power-menu)

    android.policy.jar
    (power-menu)

    services.jar
(white font for the date in the notification bar)

    lge-res.apk
(notification toggle buttons and their background, Carrier background and font color)

In the /system/app - folder I modified this files:

    Browser.apk
    Calendar.apk
    CameraApp.apk
    com.google.android.gm.apk [gmail]
    Contacts.apk
    DeskClock.apk
    Mms.apk
    PackageInstaller.apk
    Phone.apk
    Settings.apk

Here are the changes mostly done for the launcher icon and the menu icons. The important ones for the look of the dialer are the Phone.apk and the Contacts.apk.
By the way, I hate *.pro files.

    Other used apps:

    Launcher: Holo Launcher
    Keyboard: IceCream Sandwich-ICS Keyboard
    Clock Widget: Minimalistic Text
    Extra Notification Toggles: Notification Toggle

If you want to use a 2.2.* rom with the new baseband, you will need this files:

Thank you, community for the tools and tutorials and thanks to simililar projects for sharing. Excuse my grammar ;)

    Update (27. Oct. 2012)

I've replaced the files with an All-In-One flashable Zip for your Recovery.
It's my first selfmade flashable zip, so be carefully ;) (tested it with TWRP-Recovery)
It includes all above + the libs for the new baseband.

    Edit:
If you get bootloops with this zip, try this one:

Glimmling sir, can you tell me how to edit *.pro files? Or change it with .png files? My apks file were deodexed, decompiled and waiting for your tutorial. Thank sir very much :).

    Hello. There are 2 possibilities.

    1. You rename the *.png to *.pro. Then open the APK in an archive manager (7zip, WinZip) and drag the file in there to replace the old one. With this workaround it is possible, that you will get a certificate error. See logcat if the app force closes. But in the most cases it will work.
    2. Decompile the APK with your favourite tool. Then replace the *.pro files with *.png files without renaming. Take care of the *.9.png files, because in the decompiled apk the "9" is not visible. You will see them if you open the apk in 7zip. In the end you have to recompile the APK.

    Hopefully I could help.
