Hi I did flash my Galaxy Tab 8.9 with stock rom v8 of safari king.
The only problem I encounter was I dont have a sim card installed but the signal bar goes up and down.
I think my problem was with the modem because I tried a different modem before.
Can you please help me with this small problem?

Interesting issue...Just installed this rom..however..its telling me Im not rooted, tried a reflash and same issue. Any ideas?
At the end of flash it should prompt for a root fix. If doesn't or if it's not working then flash superuser zip file from recovery.
I didnt get the prompt. Been a while since ive usseedd samsung where wouldd i get the script? Thanks for the help

http://team-phoenixxx.webs.com/ does not respond under Chrome browser... (mac) but upon your comment I tried in Safari, and that works. wierd.

After flashing this rom with CWM 5.5.0.4 I installed some applications that require root, e.g. Titanium backup. But they fail to acquire root access. I got a pop-up from superuser to allow root, which I accept, but the application don't get root access.
I thought this rom is pre-rooted? I did a factory reset before flashing.

I had the same thing once, but I tried to flash this ROM using CWM 6.0.0.8 and it worked
and I tried it using CWM 6.0.2.7 and it worked also
the thing is when I flashed it with 5.5.0.4 and rebooted to system, it rebooted normally
but with 6.0.0.8 and 6.0.2.7 then reboot, the recovery will ask you to fix the superuser or not
if you pressed at fix the superuser it'll work

I will flash CWM 6.x.x.x and then I'll flash the ROM again with this CWM! :good:
Edit: everything is fine since I reinstalled the ROM with CWM 6.0.2.7! Thanks omarainea.

This is par for the course with safariking. He's a modder, not a dev, and a new one at that. Look at the number of threads he's started and you can double that for the number that have been closed for pilfering other people's work or not providing anything new.
@safariking - You should NOT call this thread "OFFICIAL" if you are taking the stock rom and deleting "crap" out of it. There are people out there that want the ebook reader and other apps. Odexing/Deodexing and zipaligning shouldn't even be an issue as this is NOT a compiled AOSP ROM so Samsung should have zip-aligned prior to release and deodexing will only help theming which I wouldn't understand if your using a Samsung ROM with their own theme anyway.
The most helpful thing you could do is take the ODIN'd version, MAYBE install ChainDD's latest root package, and re-export as a CWM zip. Removing what you think isn't important and manipulating the APK's and ODEX files isn't helping anyone.4New Release V4.0.1 Just one day before my birthday
