Experienced this as well. And it's not a change in the security settings on the Exchange server. It's a change in Android behavior. I just don't know if it's ICS-related or CM-related (I haven't set up Exchange on anything but CM-based ICS ROMs). But yeah, on GB I didn't have to enter the PIN every single time I unlocked the phone. Now I do. So far I haven't figured out a way around it (other than using a 3rd party Exchange client, which I hate).

If I do, I'll be sure to let you know.

You might have used security removed "Email.apk" in the GB though or ROM with security removed "Email.apk".

I'm using a hacked ics email apk. I'll try to get it uploaded here.

EDIT: Here it is. Should be a flashable zip that has exchange.apk and email.apk that doesn't require security keys. I forget what rom I pulled it out of (I think it was a i9100 rom over a month ago) so I can't give credit to whoever hacked it. But, it does work fine. I've been using it ever since.

Not CM-specific, happens on TW ICS firmwares too.

Flash from a non-ported Gingerbread firmware.

I'm going to coordinate with atinm on how to properly handle the fact that this device is the recipient of rampant porting.

Video encoding/decoding is still under HEAVY development.

Samsung's video libraries had all sorts of undocumented interface changes so wouldn't "plug in" to AOSP firmwares. So there's a major effort to rework things using open-source video codecs from OrigenBoard. Again - due to lack of documentation this is time consuming.

Other known issues:
GPS satellite status is not reported properly. When 8 sats are locked you'll only see 2 unlocked sats for example. A fix for this is in the review process.
Dock audio does not work. A fix for this is in the review process.
Any attempt to underclock has a high chance of causing your device to hang. Same reason I haven't released a Touchwiz kernel officially yet... This is a problem on ALL ICS kernels for I9100/I777.

Entropy,

When you say "Dock Audio", are you referring to audio being output on the official Samsung Car or Home docks??? If so, you made my day.

Would this be backported to CM7? Is there somewhere where I can keep track of this ticket? Thanks!

My bad. I was referring to the other facebook issue. The one where it doesn't let you sync. The only thing that works for me in the notification dropdown is click on the persons avatar to go to their page.

I think the notification drop down is a FB issue. Even on my Note running GB, I'm having that same issue.

Can't thank you enough for posting this (or the mystery person who made it). Working great. You just removed a big gripe of mine with ICS. Haha. Thanks again.

Isn't that way for me. I manage my own Exchange server and updated my ActiveSync device policy a long time ago once Android phones started to recgnize said policies. My Exchange server is 2010 with the latest service packs and patches.

Anyone have a link to a working modem zip? After flashing the CM9 nightly I can't seem to get a data connection. It goes back and forth from 3G to H, the icon never comes out of grey, and any app that uses data instantly crashes.

Any at&t modem works, I'm currently using the new ucl2 one or whatever it is. I had to reboot after flashing to get data, but kh7 or any of those are compatible.

Question, when selecting an icon on my home screen, then icon has the "blue glow" surrounding it, but when selecting from the app drawer, the "blue glow" is not there. Is that correct for everyone else? I'm assuming that's how the launcher is set up

GAPPS was the issue with the icon color, so have a thanks for that. I tried restoring default APN, it now lists AT&T wap.cingular as the only option. Proxy, port, server etc are showing "Not set" however.

Even though I now have a blue connection icon in the notification bar, it's still going back and forth between H and 3G every few seconds and all apps that use data immediately yield an "Unfortunately app X has stopped" error.

"H" is when data is being sent/received, "3G" is when data is idle.

These are the APN settings I have stored in Docs... sadly, I don't recall where I stole them from. But they work. The second one is just the wap.cingular default, I believe (double check me to make sure). Someone else may have something different/better/etc, though...

APN #1
NAME: ATT HSPA+
APN: phone
MMS port: 80
APN TYPE: default,internet,broadband

APN#2
ATT MMS
APN: wap.cingular
USERNAME: WAP@CINGULARGPRS.COM
MMSC: http://mmsc.cingular.com
MMS PROXY: wireless.cingular.com
MMS PORT: 80
MNC: 410
MCC: 310
APN TYPE: default,mms,supl

Okay so the internet connection is working now, however Google apps are not working still. They force close (or the ICS equivalent of that) at opening. Third party apps are able to pull data.

The GAPPS I flashed is from here. The ICS version, of course. Any ideas?

Edit: Interestingly, when the phone boots it says I9100. This is a co-worker's phone running some other ROM before this, so no telling what he's done to it. It's most definitely the I777 model (I pulled the battery and looked at the label). That's a bootloader thing, right?

CyanogenMod is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 4.0 (ICS), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

    Code:
    #include <std_disclaimer.h>
    /*
     * Your warranty is now void.
     *
     * I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
     * thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
     * do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
     * before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
     * you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.

CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

All the source code for CyanogenMod is available in the CyanogenMod Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to CyanogenMod, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

First time installing CyanogenMod 9 to your AT&T Galaxy S II (SGH-I777), or coming from another ROM:
    - READ FAQs: http://teamhacksung.org/wiki/index.php/Experimental:GT-I9100:Frequently_Asked_Questions
    - Make sure you're running SGH-I777 bootloaders only (only the ones that are specifically released for the SGH-I777 -- official Gingerbread bootloaders work fine!) and a proper working CWM like the one from CM7
    - Copy GApps and CM9 ZIPs to your internal SDCard
    - Boot into Recovery
    - Flash CM9 zip
    - Flash GApps zip
    - DO A DATA WIPE / FACTORY RESET (otherwise your calendar sync will not work)
    - Reboot
    - Don't restore Apps using Titanium Backup!

Upgrading from earlier version of CyanogenMod 9:
    - Copy CM9 ZIP to your internal SDCard
    - Boot into Recovery
    - Flash CM9 zip
    - Wipe cache partition and dalvik-cache
    - Reboot

    STOP!!!

What I don't quite get is why there are nightly builds of this ROM but no fix yet to the audio bug.

Overall it is a pretty sweet ROM, and compared to the leaked ATT ICS ROM it kicks ass. The att rom is a bugging bloat ridden piece of crap.

The audio bug impacts the ROM as a daily driver, so much works right about the ROM but this bug in particular makes it a pain to use. Being able to receive a text while listening to streaming music and receiving a notification and have the music return to the previous sound level just does not seem like too much to ask.
Because this "bug" hasn't impacted any developers and we've got a ton of other things to fix.

ICS KERNEL SOURCE HAS ONLY BEEN OUT THREE WEEKS.

IT HAD FUNDAMENTAL STABILITY BUGS WE DIDN'T FIND FIXES FOR UNTIL DAYS AGO.

THIS WEEKEND IS EASTER AND SOME OF US HAD HOLIDAY PREP TO DO LAST WEEK. WE HAVE OUR OWN LIVES YOU KNOW!

WE DON'T EXIST TO SERVE YOU.

Submit a fix to gerrit or stop *****ing and wait!

codeworkx's tree is untested - it keeps derping. Looks like I'll have to temporarily rip out NFC.

It's 1:35 AM, I'm about to go to bed regardless of whether it builds or not.
    14
TriangleAway can be used on ICS to reset the flash counter.

Video recording upgrades are not merged in yet - it's in progress. No ETAs, but it's close. Don't ask when, of course - there are many reasons why a patch that works on our device will get rejected until rewritten in a way that doesn't break other devices.

A major dock audio cleanup by StevenHarperUK is in progress. It's working on my device now, so it's a matter of getting through code review.

I submitted a new kernel to gerrit that fixes stability issues when changing cpufreq min/max limits (e.g. fixes SetCPU profiles).

I'm going to hop over to TW-land for a while to do some stuff, then I think I might play with NFC.

    Great. So 4/20 ****S **** UP AGAIN!

More mount point changes? Now all my gameloft apps that I JUST fixed last night are redownloading app data again. Same with my dropbox, as well as my spotify AGAIN.

Why are they doing this!!!??? THIS IS 2 TIMES I'M gonna have to RESTORE to get my **** right again. I mean, I get the first swap of mount points. It was needed to match other devices, but it's royally screwed my device. AGAIN!

Maybe some warning in PLAIN ENGLISH is in order. I'm about to give up on CM9.

get lost. your post is ridiculous. is this your rom? did you take any part in the development of this rom? NO and NO!!! how do you have any right to ***** or complain about something that you have NOTHING to do with? YOU DON'T! if you don't like it, FIX IT YOURSELF and submit it to gerritt and see if your changes get merged. either do something about it yourself or switch to a different rom. its that easy. no one forced you to use this rom. your post doesn't get you any closer to your solution so i'm not quite sure why you even posted this bull**** other then to complain about something that you have no right or control over. think about it.
