I'm getting a loop on boot after initiating BloodNoteV3 on the latest ICStunner (1.4.26.1).
I installed Stunner first, then Rebooted to Recovery. There I went to "install zip from sdcard" then "choose zip from sdcard", selected it "Yes - Install - ICstunner4.3Bl00dyNoteV3.zip".

Cleared cache and Dalvik cache. Rebooted, normal boot.
Afterwards I get "return to %1$s" loading page with a message "Don't start the new application" then "Start %1$s" or something like that. Then it hangs OR goes back to boot and never loads the rom.

Is there a fix, or have I installed it incorrectly?
I want a fully black/dark rom with red accents to minimize battery drain (black uses no power, red uses little power, other colours use normal, white uses most power)

If you only knew a bit about themes you would have known that these kinds of themes has to be built for the version of a rom your using. Bloodnote v3 will never work on anything but the version number described in OP.

However you should really give Liquid ICS a spin. M3dd0gs ROM. He released v1 yesterday with a black and red optional theme. By far the most beautiful rom and theme combo. Try it! U won't get dissapointed.

I figured that was the reason, but was wondering if anybody else had tried it and got it to work.

I prefer neobuddy's rom as he's very active. I think m3dd0g loans most of his rom from Stunner, so I don't think it will ever be as stable or fast, or quick with updates.

What do you think, is it worth making the switch just to go from the cyanogen accents to (battery saving) red accents?
Does his rom have anything better (features, stability, speed, performance ?) than the current Stunner (4.26.1)??

Well I have been a rom tester for several devices for known and unknown devs/cookers. I have my own scripts and ways of testing roms to ensure they have made a good job.
I personally used Stunner until latest release. I was lucky enough to not get bricked with the Stunner version that created that error. But that's the thing. When a dev updates really often and don't change anything too essential then I don't see the point of updating super often as usually by doing so requires wipes and stuff and potentially puts your device at risk.

I've tried them all here. Roms that is. And for TouchWiz feeling the Alba rom is the best for stock feeling. As for Vanilla editions there are way too many with little to none difference whatsoever. Some call it Euphoria controls, some Unicorn stuff, some liquid control. But lets face it. Most of them do the same thing with different approaches.
However I really really feel the smoothness of Liquid Rom. Makes my note fly at the moment. But we all know that this can change in an instant depending on when Samsung will rls ics kernel sources and other drivers.

We have to realize that all ics roms are built from source or ports for our note and beta kernels here and there. So all will change rapidly.

I got my NOTE very early on at a very cheap (ebay) price. The price now is what I bought in November

I purposely waited until a foolproof root, cwm, and stable ICS rom was available.

I really don't see any incentive to using an 2.3 (aosp or custom) rom over the stock oem touchwizz one. But with ICS I do recognize it. I tried the Beta MIUI and that wasn't good at all (the launcher and whole theming is good, but its too beta).

I really like AOKP ROMs, so if Liquid is (pretty much) one and you say its a little cleaner and smoother then I must give it ago!

One question I wanted to ask you, does these (AOSP) MODs work with Liquid:

Well I think you need to request those mods in their respective threads. Don't think they work for Liquid.
