I am doing the root + CWM guide but when I installe the 3 packages in the SDK it says "DONE. Nothing was installed."

Hey, that is really weird. After the install you should already have the needed tools for this process so try rebooting your PC and go to the C drive > Program Files (x86) > Android > Platform-tools and confirm if it's there.

I rebooted and checken if I had the files. I don't have the folder "platform-tools. I have a empty folder named platform and a folder named tools but tools don't have the files that I need.

EDIT: I didn't run as admin, it installed now but with one "error".

"Installing Android SDK Platform-tools, revision 14
Stopping ADB server failed (code -1).
Installed Android SDK Platform-tools, revision 14"

Can I just ignore that error?

one more thing before I flash. Your fastboot.exe is 69 kB mine is 138 kB. Is it okay to flash even if the sizes is different?

It probably is but i want to be tripple sure before I flash. :)

Hey man, the Error message is fine, adb is just a command line shell, it's all good ;)

As for the different size of Fastboot, each SDK update improves upon features. At the time of the video, 69KB might have been the current size and now it has become 138KB :D

@ AllAboutAndroids:
4.1.1 Jelly Bean update is available through ASUS OTA update for US SKU. If you were able to get the ROM for manual update since your device is unlocked and therefore might not be able to receive OTA, you may want to flash it and make a video of how the device performs on JB.

Here's the thread about the OTA Update:Android 4.1.1 update this morning

AllAboutAndroids are you making videos anymore? It would be nice to see a "how to root jellybean" tutorial. With both twrp and clockworkmod recovery.

thank you

Haha of course, we try to put out videos every week :D

Last week we took off cause we went camping with a bunch of friends. I will be making a tutorial on How to Flash Jelly Bean (Seanzscreams ROM) while getting the updated Recovery as well!

Thank you, as I am trying to do this for my father and have gone from Hydro 4.4 to stock jellybean but I can not understand how to install TWRP or CWM from this point. My intention was always to install "Jelly Bean (Seanzscreams ROM)" but somehow lost root in the process.

Again much thanks

Could someone post a video on how to nvflash?

Sent from my Transformer Pad TF300T using xda app-developers app

Hey man! I would if I could :(

NVFLASH as of now can ONLY work on an Ice Cream Sandwich Bootloader. I have already upgraded to Jelly Bean and thus would not be able to make the video. As soon as a Jelly Bean version is out, I will definitely make a video :)

Sorry, but it's the wrong place for this post.
And If you search a little you will see that all firmwares for 300 tg are in the Index, and the latest firmwares go be uploaded today.

Hey XDA Folks, we have a YouTube channel where we normally film ROM overviews for the LG G2x as well as the HTC Sensation. Just today, I bought the TF300 as my "go to" Android Device and so far I am very pleased!

It is a powerful device, without having any signal issues and it has a pretty decent price tag. Down below, we will be posting vids as Development options become available. So far, we only have the ROOT method, which is simply to run an APK and a Tweaked Build.prop which, is literally renaming the old one, and copying the edited version to /system.

Anyway, take a look at our vids and more videos will be coming in the near future
