Hi, this is probably a super Noob question, but what is the difference between a N9005XXUDMK2 build and a N9005XXUDMJ7 builds.

I understand that the MK2 is an update that came after the MJ7 (which came loaded on my N9005).

Also, I get that the letters correspond to region and build date.

I just want to know if I can update my MJ7 baseband N-9005 to an MK2 build?

I tried out some of the unofficial releases of CM 11 so I don't have the OTA update option available to me anymore so this trouble.

Thanks!

Check the changelog, it's mainly slight bug fixes, yes you can upgrade and if you have issues you can fall back to MJ7 again without any problems

Thanks! Giving it a try now.

I was also wondering if you have any idea as the why the name of the 'Phone' memory changes when you go from Stock to CM.

It goes from being '0' to 'legacy' or something. I'm not to sure. The problem I'm facing is that when I recover by Stock from a CM11, a lot of apps don't function as it is not able to recognize the phone memory as the name has changed.

I hope I made some sense.

Thanks again!

Not 100% sure, must be the way file systems are read.
