After doing the cid unlock.....do you have to reflash the original rom again?

Thanks

Just reboot, if necessary. You shouldn't really notice any differences at all. But your phone will.

Thank you for that it is much appreciated and worked well, now how would i go about making a backup of the t-mobile rom on the phone? I would like to be able to try the origonal rom from HTC but have the ability to go back to the t-mobile rom for warrentry purposes and also in case it has better features etc etc

In your SIM slot
Just a little FYI for Tilt users. When you install Hard-SPL and flash to the HTC ROM, you can't reflash the ATT ROM at the moment. So, be sure you know this going in, just in case you need to reflash the original for warranty/return issues.

( ERROR [244] : INVALID MODEL ID )

STUCK AT TRI COLOR SCREEN WITH:

RUUNBH
KAIS1*0
SPL-1.56.0000
CPLD-8

Neither kaiser nor Cingular rom will load..... As soon as the flash starts, I get the disconnection ding at 1% and:

INVALID VENDER ID

With cingular wwe rom!

and it is bricked...

HTC rom fails at the same point, with
error[294] invalid vendor id

Would that be the same for a UK t-Mobile User? Unfortunately I have applied the Hard spl already so does this mean that if I flash teh htc rom onto it I will be stuck with the HTC rom and cant go back to the T-Mobile one ? ( lol if i ever learn how to make a backup of it :p)
thanks

not true; just change the model ID in the NBH to match your device

Care to point out the part of the wiki? I am new here but there is so much information and it isnt very organised for noobs like me, I have read all of the kaiser wiki and cannot find anything relating to the question I asked, if it is another section, I would really need question answered properly in order to find it, wouldnt I :D

Do we need a Custom RUU to take advantage of the HardSPL or the shipped one will do the trick?

stock works fine... I've run the full EXE and the extracted RUU from the shipped ROMs, both work fine.

@joedoe & sirsycho: The RUU from shipped ROMs is ok if you flash a full NBH containing OS, but it will format storage (hard reset) on your device even if you flash only a splash screen or a radio, so I've created a CustomRUU which should be fine to flash custom parts, will only format device if you flash OS. Download here. :)
