there are certain ODINs around that support certain Samsung models only.

there is no ODIN that supports all phone models.

somewhat related to thread:

there are a bunch of apps out there, that do KERNEL BACKUP & RESTORE, i.e.:

tuxility // open source
SGS kernel flasher
yaffs explorer
SGS tools (maybe) // open source
kTool v1.4
ROM Manager
ODIN mobile

tuxility just uses dd to do the trick, seemingly. none of the above work on the SGY, however.

if you're planning to flash stock firmware via odin

better go to this ---> thread

ps: use odin version 1.84, which is compatible with GT-S5360
