Amarulz, i got a feature idea for when u get your new device. I thought it would be nice to have a terminal emulator sometimes to get advanced stuff done...

Terminal emulator will be in another project,.. and File Manager + Terminal Emulator will be bundled in another project that will be called AROMA Recovery :D. Still saving more money for new device.

I've been a long time lurker, having spent a lot of time reading various threads on rooting, kernels, roms et al.

Having finally decided that I was familiar enough with the procedure, I went ahead and rooted my Galaxy i9100.

I made a few mistakes along the way, but learned from them. (I hope).

The mistakes would often mean leaving recovery, rebooting, transferring files to where I should have put them before I started, then back into recovery, and starting the procedure again.

I found your File Manager today! How I wish I had found it earlier. What a very handy tool to have available whilst in recovery.

I've managed to flash and configure it. I've tested it in recovery, and can transfer files without problem so far.

Thank you so much for your efforts. You have made my experimenting so much easier.

Hi,
Just tested it on my Galaxy Spica i5700 and touch does not work and the only button that works is the back button and it works as OK I think.

Those are button codes scanned with your app:
Vol+ - 201
Vol- - 209
Search - 226
Menu - 211
Back - 212
Home - 227
Lock - 251
Anwser - 219
Hangup - 249
Cam - 228
OK - 204
Up - 202
Down - 210
Left - 218
Right - 203

Hope to see any updates soon :)

This almost works on my galaxy tab (gt-p1000). I can't configure touch. Touch works but when I press circle, bigger circle appears but it doesn't move to next point. I tried with normal and alternative touch.

Heads up!

I can confirm that it runs on the Galaxy S III (SGH-T999 T-Mobile US)

It's not 100% working, was unable to find the external SD card, however it was able to read the internal
I had to tap the calibration dots a few times to get them to register on alternate mode, I fine tuned the touch DOWN to 18 and got a pretty good response out of it

The other issue is that the display is only CYAN in color, It's missing a lot of color

Overall though, great app, I'll be following Development and probably donating, this has SERIOUS potential, I wish I had it the other day, would have been a life saver (Soft Bricked my SGSIII, no stock ODIN to restore at that point)

Basically the same on my Sprint Galaxy Nexus running CM9. Although, sometimes I can get to the second touch point, at which time it freezes.

This file manager is awesome, works like a charm.
By the way, can you integrate a texteditor into it? would be nice for editing .prop files, etc directly

Aroma FM works on HTC Rezound

Developer Need Help :)
For Autodetection needs, please anyone who already successfull running the AROMA File Manager, to upload the cfg file and recovery build.prop file here.

:good: Works on my HTC Rezound (htc-vigor) with amon ra style recovery. The default touch method works. There is no build.prop available, but I am uploading the .cfg file. Thanks for this tool.

The World's First ANDROID Recovery Based Filemanager

Don't Forget To Donate To Me:

Android Recovery was powerfull system. But it was pain when it come to managing your filesystem

But now AROMA Filemanager is available for everyone to do this common tasks.

    How To Use?
Copy the zip into your sdcard, then reboot your device into recovery mode. Choose install from sdcard, then select the AROMA Filemanager ZIP. The file manager will starting, and you are ready to managing your filesystem (copy, cut, delete, make new folder, etc) while you are in recovery.

    Some Information About AROMA Filemanager

    The Codenames
AROMA Filemanager codename based on Alphabetical Traditional Indonesian Music Instrument. Here the list of already used codename:

    ANGKLUNG - 1.00 - 1.2x

    BONANG - 1.50

    CALUNG- 1.80

    DEGUNG GAMELAN- 1.90

    Programming Language
It was application which runs on Android device but not on Android OS Environment that the native applications usually use Java. AROMA Filemanager use C (Pure C, not C++), so it may run on another platform like x86 linux with small modifications ofcourse.

    Used Libraries
    • ZLIB - ofcourse, it was the most awesome thing in computer world :good:
    • PNG
    • MinZIP
    • Freetype
All library need to compiled as static to make sure it runs without any dependency issue in any devices.

    Official Binary
I Only support ARM device, but it was opensourced, so anyone can play with the source and compiled it for they own devices.

Sorry everybody for waiting the new release :crying: !!
I had so many works in past years, and cannot managed to touch any aroma's code, but luckly I have a couple of project that use many aroma code, and already modify it into the library. I just publish (still usable source) it in github with name "libaroma" and will be next big step core for AROMA Filemanager and AROMA Installer -> https://github.com/amarullz/libaroma - but I need to modify and restructure all filemanager/installer code to use the new library, but It will support even many devices and fixes many bugs and performance.
