hi, having problem to have HTC touch recognized as USB. heres my scenario.
- winXP SP3. Not installed Activesync at all. do we need to ?
- place HTC touch in bootloader mode(volumw down + power button), get the bootloader page with the following:
MicroP-Blackstone (LED) v6
with at the botton (Serial),
attach phone via USB on laptop, get usual windows recognized new device and try to add drivers, which fails.
after this in Device Manager, there is NO "HTC USB" tyope entry, only and unrecognized device called " Qualcomm CDMA Technologies MSM"
and still, the bootloader screen shows "Serial" can never get it to goto "USB".
Install activesync then open it and go to 'connection settings', then enable 'allow usb connections'
Now put device into bootloader then try connecting it to pc. Should change from 'serial' to 'usb' after a few seconds. If it still doesn't show 'usb' then you may need to update usb drivers by following this guide
Got a qtek 9100 with win 7.
Doesn't see device as HTC but as pocketpc.
Can get in bootloader. SPL/IPL 2.18.
USB in bottom.
When i try to flash the flash utility crashes. In several different cases.
When i remove usb cable, no serial is visible.
Anyone a clue how to proceed for me?
