interesting to know what happens after you update your radio
the post you got gps.conf from says is all good with radio 7.13.35.05
i went from b084 to cm71 so everything was wiped out and got that radio
keep us posted

i read somewhere (in there) that have gps working after flashing new radio is a placebo.
but i flashed it and, just after 1 min watching the sky from the window, it foud various satellites. for the first time i saw the gps icon.
thanks;)

probably my problem is not completely solved:
it finds lots of satellites, but it needs 10 or more minutes to find my position (when the gps logo on the notification bar stop blinking)

in my case i only changed the first line of gps.conf
so i don't even bother with multiple ntp servers or
agps and always get a fast gps lock

GPC still does not work.

This is crazy

I have now set the servers to Denmark while ago and am using copilot live.

For the first time it takes about 15 minutes to get a lock - then it takes 20-40 seconds. If i wait a couple of days i go back to waiting 15 minutes again rendering the GPS totally unuseable.

Have friends with iphones having a lock within second. It the GPS in the Legend really that crappy ?

I do not have data turned on since it is very expensive. And the gps should work within seconds flawlessly since it does that in my much older car cps and running watch gps.. Or am I totally wrong ?

I live in the UK and have had problems GPS on both CM7 and BlaYO's B.0.8.4
the attached file from 'wbam' solved it on both roms for me.

I should be fine for all Europe also.
drop it onto your sdcard and flash it from Clockwork recovery.

on my Legend the initial lock with GPS Status or GPS Test was slow, but is fine thereafter.

My experience:
If GPS takes longer than 1 minute to get fixed I usually reboot the phone. This normally fixes it thought sometimes I have to reboot one more time.
Normally my gps fixes un 30 sec or doesn't fix at all, and rebooting is the only solution. It happens with both CM and stock rom. Actually my old phone (sony ericsson c702) suffered from the same problem.

I have tried your process - which i assume changes the gps.conf ?

This did not however change anything -

I have the newest radio and the gps.conf directs to a local server.

I actually get a "lock" within second - the accuracy is several kilometres however so I suppose it does not use the gps but the normal antenna.

rebooting does not change anything. Will this be better in CM 9 ?

After sitting for 30 minutes there is still only the 3 kilometres accuracy "lock"

are you saying the flash did not work, or that it did, but the GPS was no better ?
it flashed to my Legend ok even though it is "S-ON"
the gps.conf file resides in /system/etc, have a look at yours with Root Explorer ... the one from wbaw reads:

actually a thought has occurred to me ...

given that wbaw does work, it may be that the gps data from you previous gps.conf may be the problem now.

install GPS Status from the Market and in it's menus you have the ability to flush
current GPS Data and then download fresh data. (best via wifi)

this may do the trick.
