sorry, didn't test that. will check which module isn't compatible with tytungs kernel.

R10 won't solve the problem.

Oh, thanks for the information, it is just that I can't find it. No idea where to open or install it, though, because all the other builds I used had the HTC wheather widget with the clock on by default.

I also have another issue, the phone does not do any data connection, the 3G or Edge symbol does not light up at all :(. Example: I can't connect to the Android Market at all because of network errors. I do have the signal strength shown in the top row, but that is all I can get.

I found out that there was no APN configured and I was able to fix it by entering a new APN. Any idea why there was no APN generated in the first place? When I tried the ROM for the first time, I did not insert the SIM card, is this the reason why I did not get the APN settings?

Weather widget IS NOT included. Its the HTC weather app that is included.

Good rom :) thanks
The single note...
I noticed wifi has a long time to start (minute or more) if I use cyanogen bar. But the direct link in usual settings starts wifi immediately... Why so?

All HTC widgets rely on the launcher, which was removed. So no HTC widgets are included. This was done, to get as much free space as possible. Since the question arises again and again, I might release a Sense version, with less free space, but HTC Sense intact.

It's a silly question, but how do you get the framework of HTC HD2 in the screenshot? I mean the one you have in first post, how do you make that?

I did disable the LauncherPro for these reasons:

1. at one point it asked me to update to the pro version (when I tried to resize a weather widget)

2. After this, all the icons in the dock were gone and I had huge + signs shown instead.

3. After playing around with the settings, nothing that I configured worked, I even lost the top row with the battery information. I had to reset all the settings back to default to get it back up and running.

Suggestion: could the ADW Launcher be integrated in the ROM? It is much better than the LauncherPro.

After this, I installed the ADW Launcher (that looks much nicer anyway).

Excellent work on the battery consumption, by the way. Battery Monitor History only shows 4mA power consumption while in standby.

I have returned my LG Optimus X2 today, because it did not even last for more than 8 hours :( with one charge.

#1: YOu can't change the size of the widget until you buy the pro version in Launcher pro.
#2: Maybe you didn't wipped everything before installing this rom. so try that again.
#3: yes you may use adw launcher, just install it from market.

I have used both ADW Launcher and Launcher Pro quite a lot and can tell you for sure LP performs much better than ADW (speed and smoothness). It asks you to buy the plus version only if you try to resize a widget on the homescreen. However you can substitute the launcher APK in the ROM zip with the one of your choice before flashing. I got the PLUS version and I'm doing exactly this - I change the supplied one with the version I got.

Still having problems with no sound on outgoing calls. This makes the rom unusable, its a shame really. It was perfect in in every other way.

It definately isnt robot voice, and the robot voice fix doesnt work...

Strange, but I can't reproduce it. Everything's fine here.

Which robot voice fix did you try? That one could help: http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=860850

I attached a RAR file with some drivers. ADB push/copy the files to system/etc/firmware and set the permissions as the rest of the files in that directory. After a reboot you will most likely have robot voice on the first call. just disable audible touch tones or switch to speaker and back.

please let me know if this worked.

Hi, thanks for the reply!

Unfortunately I had already done a complete task 29 and new radio install as I feared it my have been an issue with my radio (previous roms were having data issues). Anyway i went with a completely fresh slate rather than a CWM backup and all seems good so far, first few calls have been crisp and clear :)

I'll let you know if it returns :p

Hopefully not ... :p

The problem with flashing again and again is indeed the data corruption occurring from time to time. I have seen pretty weird behavior over the past year, even with WM 6.5. Task29 solved almost all of those not explainable problems ... lets hope it's the case here too ... ;)

The idea behind this ROM was to get as much free space as possible, while keeping HTC enhancements to android, like dialer, calendar, contacts etc.

To achieve that, besides many enhancements and optimizations, the HTC Launcher (Rosie.apk) and ALL HTC Widgets have been removed.

This ROM is partly RE-odexed and loads parts of the framework into the RAM, for better performance and more free space.

    Included:
    • HTC Dialer
    • HTC Calendar
    • HTC Clock
    • HTC Messaging
    • HTC Mail
    • HTC Weather
    • HTC Contacts
    • HTC Camera
    • HTC Friends Stream
    • HTC Flashlight
    • HTC Album
    • HTC Music
    • HTC Keyboard
    • HTC FM Radio
    • HTC WiFi Hotspot
    • 1% battery meter
    • Power Notification Widgets
    • Launcher Pro (default launcher)
    • DSPManager
    • Miscellaneous HTC enhancements (USB-Sync, Lockscreen, etc.)

    Removed:
    • HTC Sense (Launcher/Rosie.apk)
    • All HTC Widgets
    • All Google Apps (you can get them from the market)
    • HTC (Live) Wallpapers
    • Quickoffice
    • Adobe Reader
    Good to know:
    • Everything is working.
    • 170MB free space on SECOND boot (194MB with UseLast24Nand!). Why on second boot? Because the part of dalvik cache, which is loaded to the RAM isn't cleared at first boot, but on second boot and all following.
    • ROM is running on a 230MB system partition. If you don't know how to set it up yourself, use this
    • Framework partly loaded into RAM. This method is the same as imilka uses. Thanks to imilka for pointing out how to use it.
    • Re-odexed system/apps. You are still able to use UOT-Kitchen; framework deodexed.
    • No app2sd+; No data2ext.
    • Zipaligned and rooted. Not squashfs-ed!
    • Multilanguage; w/o Arabic.
    • Coffee accepted ;-)

And like always: use at own risk.

    Known issues:
    • Some games not starting / Render FX not working

you only need to add rosie.apk into system/app.

however, you need another source. rafpigna is using an 1.72 base rom. I'm using 1.84 as a base. imilkas froyo dhd rom and cmyxlogos froyo dhd ROM are based on an 1.84 ROM, so both of them should work. after copying rosie.apk you might need to delete launcherpro.apk or use a launcher-switcher.

Gonna try this build :p btw does it support apps2sd ?

no, sorry. I explicitly wanted a ROM without the need of any dependence on the sd card. otherwise most of the other desire hd, desire s or incredible s ROMs would have sufficed.

if you are willing to use an ext partition, there is imho actually little sense in using any light or compact ROMs, such as mine. ;-)
    2
    NOP...
Look into zip, plenty of HTC widgets inside, including weather.
    So question staying

Yeah, I need to clarify this a bit: I kept some of the smaller widgets because I wasn't sure what dependencies there are. With HTC Sense it's not always clear. For example: The HTC Keyboard depends on the HTC SetupWizard - so does the HTC Location Service and Weather etc ...

Thats why I kept the weather app too. I wanted to save the weather forecast functionality on the calendar and the location service. So I didn't remove any weather parts, as they rely on each other.

Some other smaller widgets (together less than 1MB) are kept for the same reason. Deleting all those files would bring another 1,5MB, but I just didnt want to endlessly trial and error just for the last few bytes, since 105MB isn't too bad. But of course there is always room for optimizations. ;-).

Is it Ok with flash.cfg - just 4 mb for boot and 1 mb for cash? Looks strange...
Yes, those values are correct. The cache on most of the sense builds isn't a separate partition but part of the data-partition. Still we have to flash 1MB because of CWM ...

Works fine!!! I love it, with Cianogen bar!
    Thanks, good to hear :D

Removed from zip all existing HTC widgets, Adobe Reader, Quick Office, changed system in flash.cfg to 230 - very well! Working fine, thanks for great ROM!
Yes, it would be easily possible to remove those too, but I wanted to keep some basic functions.

Advice - you can activate uselast24nand in Magldr-Service menu. It will give you another 24 Mb space :) Do it Before flashing CWM from computer!
Dont forget, if you will flash new version of magldr (if will :) ) this 24 Mb will be erased.
But still i use it on many ROMs, never was problems.
Yes, its a neat feature. But be careful, not only does flashing magldr erase those last 24MB but just entering SPL does too (without flashing anything).

    app2sd for this rom work?
No, sorry. Like stated before, there is no point in that. If you are willing to use your SD-card as an integral part of the daily use, you can as well try a full-sense build. This ROM is optimized to work without any SD-card for best batterylife and stability.

And thats really the main advantage on this ROM: Its small (for a Desire HD based ROM) and stable.
