That's a really interesting discovery. For me the folder size wasn't shown at all until last build, now it's there and it's also visible when the folder name has a space in it as one can see on the screenshot for the folders 'Titanium Backup' and 'Eigene Videos'. Just as an information. I'm on mixplorer Version: 6.20.7 B1711121, running AEX 4.6, android 7.1.1.

After seeing your report I tested some more and there seems to be an additional factor such as folder properties, ownership, content, or properties of the path it's self. In fact this may be the primary factor, but I've not fully isolated it. Also, the various factors have compound effects in different circumstances which makes this tricky to follow but here goes. These results are weird, hang on:
In a clean install of MiX 6.20.8 on LOS 14.1 w/LOS SU this is what I see.
1) The 3.44KiB size for the folder named "'New Folder" is actually the size of only 1 text file that within the folder. The other 4 files in that folder are: 3 .XML files between 43KiB and 51KiB in size and one ROM zip at 345MB.
2) When "'New folder" is renamed to "Newfolder" it reports size of 143KiB, which I cannot match with anything (but my eyes are glaze at this point).
3) When "'Newfolder" is renamed back to "New folder" it a still reports size of 143KiB, which I cannot match with anything. The same exact thing (with different values) occurred during a separate test on a different folder.
4) The folder named TestFolderA contains 3 .xml files and reports no size.
5) The folder named TestFolderB contains 7 FLAC audio files totaling about 61MB in size but are reported as 47.77MB. As described in item one, this folder initially showed a different size (about 30MB) until the folder was renamed when the size changed to 47.77MB, abnd when it was renamed to it's original name the 47.77MB size persisted.
.
6) All of the aforementioned test folders reside in a folder named "New Folder". The size properties of that folder changed as the other folder renames were done, which is not surprising considering the nature of this issue but, in the attached screen-shot it showed a greater size that the sub-folders do. Although the folder containing the 350MB ROM zip (New folder/Newfolder, described above) does not reflect size of the ROM zip if you go one level up the the size of that ROM zip is reflected in the >400MB total for that path.
7) This just keeps getting stranger: When I renamed the parent folder (described in item 6) from New folder to Newfolder, then TestFolderA (described in item 4) shows a size where it did not before but that size is not correct, 94 KiB for what should be about 140 KiB.
8) When I renamed the parent folder (described in item 6) from Newfolder back to original name to New folder, then TestFolderA (described in item 4) shows the same new size shown in the previous item.
OK, so a log is worth a thousand pictures but I don't know where to begin, so waiting for HP's input. Thanks
@adiiit for corroborating this.
