I love this rom, but I'm having a problem that a can't live with it, also have it in reaper rom.

Some keyboard keys freeze during a few seconds when I typing fast, maybe a multi touch bug. If I wait the keys become alive again or if I lock and wake screen.

I'm using SwiftKey but it happens also with stock keyboard.

I only have this issue with CM7 based Roms. Sense and CM10 are OK.

Anyone are facing this problem? Any solution?
I really want to use this rom but this issue is really annoying.

Btw, I'm on latest nightbuild

Well I used cm7.2 stable for couple of weeks and I had no problems but I don't know about latest nightly. Maybe move on to cm10. Try Flinny or nk111 latest builds. Everything is working fine touch is good have no freezes. And front n rear cams works bit buggy but will be solved soon so enjoy your desire S with new cm10 goddies
:)
I'm on Flinny 125 build for 1 week and it's super smooth n working great.

    11jvl2v.png

    Disclaimer:
    Code:
These CyanogenMod builds are experimental and unsupported. They are
automatically generated nightly and receive no testing before being made
    available.

Please do NOT post bugs from these builds on the CyanogenMod bug tracker.

This thread does not offer official support for these builds, it is purely
    for user-to-user discussion and support.

    Features:
    Code:
     - Android 2.3.7
     - Automatically built from latest CyanogenMod source
     - Stock CyanogenMod 2.6.35.14 Kernel

    Installation (From any other ROM):
    Code:
    In recovery:
     - Wipe all (system, data, cache)
     - Flash XXXXXXXX-cm-7.2.0-RC0-DesireS-Jorgen-signed.zip
(where X is date of the latest build)
     - (Optional) Flash Google Apps

Installation (Upgrade from previous CM7 builds):
    Code:
    In recovery:
     - Wipe cache
     - Wipe dalvik-cache
     - Flash XXXXXXXX-cm-7.2.0-RC0-DesireS-Jorgen-signed.zip
(where X is date of the latest build)

IMPORTANT - Devices unlocked via htcdev.com:
    Code:
If you unlocked your phone via htcdev.com, you must flash the included
boot.img after flashing the ROM in recovery:
     - Boot into fastboot, either by:
       - Turning phone on whilse holding VOLUME DOWN, or
       - adb reboot bootloader, or
       - using an option in your recovery (eg. Reboot Bootloader)
     - Connect your phone to your PC and copy the boot.img from the ROM .zip
to the same place as fastboot.exe and issue the following command:

Ok, as promised here's a build based on the latest CM Gingerbread code:
    http://www.mediafire.com/?79tu9ca3nqczf0f

As it's been a while since the last nightly, here are the major changes:
    • Latest CM Gingerbread code as of today (03 Dec)
    • Many Kernel updates (From the latest HTC Desire S source release)
    • Removal of an obsolete audio work-around (New kernel fixes the issue)
    • Various VoIP fixes (Should now work without hanging the phone)

Hopefully this will tide you over until the buildbot comes back online and resumes the nightly builds, assuming that hasn't happened within a week, I'll compile and publish another build. I'm afraid I can't generate them every day, but I promise to do another in a week.

Regarding the kernel updates. The Tiamat kernel doesn't yet have the new HTC Desire S source included, I'd recommend sticking with the included kernel for now. I've done extensive testing regarding power consumption and battery life on both kernels and they both average 6-7 days between charges for me.

As always, bug reports are always welcomed, and I'll try to fix what I can but sometimes they are core CM / Android bugs that I can only report to the other devs, not fix myself.

    CM9 Alpha 1

Giving everything a test now, hoping to get a release out today.

Ok, a little new year teaser for you ;)

    CM9 Pre-Alpha build:
    Fully-Working:
    • Battery history
    • Bluetooth & WiFi
    • Google Apps (Market, GMail, Navigation, etc)
    • GPS
    • HW Acceleration (No corruption / dithering issues)
    • Mobile Data
    • Mobile Data usage logging
    • Sensors (Proximity, Light, Compass, Rotation)
    • Touchscreen
    • WiFi tethering

    Semi-Working:
    • USB functions (Needs further testing)

    Non-Working:
    • Camera (Front & Rear)
    • Headset / Headphones
    • Market purchasing
    • USB tethering

I had hoped to have released an Alpha build by now but I want to get USB working correctly before I do so. I'm on holiday until the 5th Jan but I hope to get a build out before then. If not I'll get it out ASAP afterwards.

    Happy New Year everyone!

Hi nexx how is cm9 growing up?
Oh go on then.. I think I can share ;)

I've got 1 major bug left before I'm prepared to do an Alpha release. Right now the phone will not connect to a mobile network on boot, but searching and connecting afterwards works. Seems a few other ICS ROMs have this issue too. It has to be done every boot.

The only major things left on the "not-working" list are:
    - Camera (needs new proprietary drivers or a shim to be created)
    - Some USB functions (Kernel updates)
    - Some things I'm sure I've forgotten...

It's coming along well though, I hope to have an alpha out soon, it's mostly dependant on getting the radio bug fixed. The AOSP ICS ROM by SuperKid / MDJ doesn't seem to have it so I've sent a PM to MDJ, maybe he can provide some insight.
