Constant issues with Kies here. I have tried to do the update 3 times and Kies keeps crashing. I ran it as administrator and it got further but now if my phones display turns off it disconnects from the phone and Kies crashes and i have to start over. So i set my screen delay as long as i could and i have to sit here and keep it awake. Seems kind of stupid. Might just be that im running windows 8. is anyone else having this problem?
I'd say ATT might release something like I747UCDLK3 (JB 4.1.1) fairly soon. Lets see what the beginning of next week brings.
Guys: Mr. Robinson has already started preparing a root injected version of the AT&T update. When ready, all you have to do is flash via ODIN and you are installed and rooted. Simplest method by far, plus covers both the update and root in one action. Just need to hang in there until he is done. See here: http://xdaforums.com/showpost.php?p=34989027&postcount=1385

Anyway to keep root and tether when upgrading? I'm running rooted stock ICS w/ KT747 kernel, just want to keep tether basically.
Anyone know what the minimum battery charge is to update? 44% is below whatever threshhold there is. Will try again at major round numbers.
Complete noob.. I finally got kies to connect to my phone, but now it keeps asking me upgrade Kies to the latest version and then upgrade firmware. Once I click the Update Kies button right next to it, it immediately says the latest version is installed. After I do this, it doesnt seem anything has changed and it tells me the current firmware version is android 4.0.4. Anyone else having this issue? Is there a different way for me to update since ive never rooted or messed with stock settings? thanks
So i was able to update my rooted stock ICS phone to the JB but i lost root. Im tempted to try rooting again via odin but worried of messing up my phone.
This seems to be a thread for ranting and wild speculation than what the OP has intended. Maybe we should get back on topic before a mod is needed...
Idk why you guys are hassling ATT about the release date. The only people who would know best would be the programmers at Samsung...Just my two cents
