Awesome build!

Hiya,

First of all I would like to thank to @tytung for this great rom and his hard work. Im running this rom for several days now and all I can say is wow. Stable and smooth. Battery consumption with 3G, gps, background data, weather sync every 30mins, mails sync every hour, facebook every 30mins and wifi on in stanby is only 4-5mA. With BT on it gets around 70-80mA, but that is ok for me. Music stream over BT headset is very good and it does not cut off on a screen wake up. 3G speed is very fast and stable as well, no drops at all. App2sd with ext4 partition on sd works as well. Clockwork Recovery works flawlessly. Few minor bugs like blinking keypad, sometimes gps takes time to lock, also noticed when press call button it takes you to contacts not to call log. Still this the best rom so far, love it. Keep up good work.

wifi advanced settings

Can you please describe the steps to access Wi-Fi advanced settings? I browsed the settings and I can't find it. I want the Wi-Fi to be turned off when it goes into standby. I didn't install any Wi-Fi related addons from the first page.

Sorry - I was gone all day. I usually check back. Go to your wifi settings and click on the windows button. It'll bring up a little window that says advanced settings. Click on that and you'll see what I'm talking about.

is it just me or does everyone's built in usb mass storage app work just fine.. don't need a separate one?

only reason i ask is that it's listed under the known issues..

edit: nevermind.. running a different rom.. i gotta stop changing them every hour lol

Hi all, Great Rom!! I have just tried to do the CW install of 2.1 over version 2.0. Install went fine but at the boot it gets stuck at Go Go Go. I did the recovery from CW back to my latest backup and all is working again. What did I do wrong? Using mgldr 1.11 and CW 3.0.0.5

If I've applied all of the "add-ons" from 2.0, is this the same as 2.1 and no need for me to flash this? Thanks!

They are the same except fixing WiFi Tethering in v2.1 (Don't need to enable build-in Portable Wi-Fi hotspot setting first. Just use Wireless Tether.)

Edit:
The default kernel is different too. But you can always flash the kernel at any time.

Pretty sure that is what I tried to do and got stuck at the go go go. Can you clarify which option I have to choose in CW to update to 2.1 and keep all my settings from 2.0. Thanks

anyone else having issues with the MMS images coming in being smaller and blurry than when sent? Nexus Nand 2.2 froyo didnt ever have this problem...but this gingerbread one does. Any ideas?
tytung...is this something to do with the new kernal you used for this build over your froyo build?

Please see kernel changelog. The main difference between v1 and v2 is just audio boost.
AFAIK, MMS issus shouldn't be related to the kernel.
Maybe copy /system/app/Mms.apk from Froyo to Gingerbread.
P.S.: Remember to backup your old Mms.apk or the whole system first.

    Tips
    ===========
This ROM is better than NexusHD2-Froyo now.

    Installations
    ===========
You should have either MAGLDR 1.13 or cLK 1.4.0.1 bootloader on device.
    • CWM (ClockworkMod) Recovery Version via SD card (Flash update.zip)
      • Installing CWM_Recovery_for_NexusHD2 (135MB system and 2MB cache) to create a space-efficient NAND partition layout designed specifically for NexusHD2 series is highly recommended if coming from another ROM.
      • For Android installation you need to enter CWM Recovery.
      • CWM: backup and restore => Backup you current ROM first. (optional but recommended)
      • CWM: wipe data/factory reset if coming from another ROM or wanting to have a clean installation. (optional but recommended)
      • CWM: install zip from sdcard: navigate to NexusHD2-Gingerbread_V3.3a-(Android-2.3.7).zip to finish the Android installation.
    Installation Guide for MAGLDR 1.13:
    1. Flash MAGLDR
      • Download MAGLDR 1.13 (606 KB)
      • Enter SPL by holding VOL DOWN key while booting the phone. (Make sure you have HSPL.)
      • Run ROMUpdateUtility.exe to flash MAGLDR 1.13 (magldr.nbh).
    2. Flash ClockworkMod Recovery
      • Download MAGLDR_CWM_Recovery_v3.2.0.0_for_NexusHD2_135M.zip (5.0 MB)
      • Enter MAGLDR 1.13 by holding power key while booting the phone, and then select "USB Flasher" via "VolUp" and "VolDown". Confirm key is green "Call" button.
      • Run DAF.exe to flash ClockworkMod Recovery 3.2.0.0 (recovery_3.2.0.0_leo.img).
    3. Flash Android ROM
      • Enter ClockworkMod Recovery when you're on MAGLDR 1.13 (hold "Power" button during boot) and select "AD Recovery" or "Boot AD SD" (if ever copied CWM's initrd.gz and zImage to SD).
      • Mod edit: Link removed

    Installation Guide for cLK 1.4.0.1:
    1. Flash cLK
    2. Flash ClockworkMod Recovery
      • Download cLK_CWM_Recovery_v3.2.0.0.zip (5.0 MB)
      • Enter fastboot mode by holding back key (left arrow) while booting the phone.
      • Run fastboot_install_recovery.bat to flash ClockworkMod Recovery 3.2.0.0 (recovery_3.2.0.0_leo.img).
    3. Flash Android ROM
      • Enter ClockworkMod Recovery by holding home key while booting the phone.
      • Mod edit: Link removed

    Extra:
    • Flash some add-ons below if needed.
    • Flash dtapps2sd-2.7.5.2-signed.zip for Apps2SD+. (2.59 MB)
      • Optional. Flash it only when you install too many apps and the internal memory (i.e. data partition) is out of space.
      • If you ever enabled Apps2SD+, you need to flash it every time when upgrading the ROM.
    • Reboot

    Uninstallation
    ===========
You should flash stock official Windows Mobile 6.5 ROM.

Best way to have 2.4 with working Market...
Get V2.3 and V2.4 CWM files
Do a clean install of V2.3, boot it, do your first settings (like set account, your sound, language and these settings)
Open Market ONCE do your account link with it (clicking accept)
    Shutdown phone...
Boot into CWM Recovery again, choose install zip from SD card, choose V2.4 DO NOT DO ANY WIPE, simply install this zip and REBOOT
v2.4 will be working fine, with all new stuff and market ok too :)

If you like this, please use the thanks button ;)

Enabling the Apps2SD+ is so easy! :)

If you're a Leo512 (512MB ROM) user, you may want to enable the Apps2SD+ function to have much data space.
It also works with Leo1024 users.

    Installation:
    1. Create an Ext2, Ext3 or Ext4 partition in your SD card. (Tutorial for Windows)
    2. Download dtapps2sd-2.7.5.2-signed.zip and place it in the SD card. (Credit to tkirton, the developer of Darktremor Apps2SD)
    3. Enter MAGLDR. (hold "Power" button during boot)
    4. Choose AD Recovery (in MAGLDR 1.13) or Boot AD SD (in MAGLDR 1.11~1.13) to enter the ClockworkMod Recovery.
    5. Choose install zip from sdcard and choose dtapps2sd-2.7.5.2-signed.zip to finish the installation.
    6. Reboot to take effect.
    7. All done! (Your apps will be moved to the Ext2/3/4 partition.)

Apr 09 update: You can also use Darktremor Apps2SD 2.7.5.3 Beta 04.
For more information, please visit this thread regarding Darktremor Apps2SD.

[⁇] For a list of commands that you can use with Apps2SD
        Type: a2sd help

If you need much data space, you need to move Dalvik Cache to SD card by running the command below.
    Code:
    [B][COLOR="Red"]su
    a2sd cachesd[/COLOR][/B]

    P.S.:
Besides Apps2SD+ (needs EXT2/3/4 in the second primary partition), you can also use the official Apps2SD function (only needs FAT16/32).
