What recovery is used for this for the HTC one m8? I may sound dumb but I'm having a hard time figuring the tool kit out. I'm stock unrooted s-off unlocked bootloader.

The toolkit uses the official TWRP recovery. If you've already unlocked your bootloader, you can flash TWRP and SuperSU under steps 2 and 3 in the toolkit.

WinDroid Toolkit v3.0 Is Now Out!

WinDroid Toolkit v3.0 has been released! It's a huge update with a material redesign, major recode and support for 43 new devices!

You can out more specific changes in the changelog here.

You can download the new update here.

All versions before v3.0 will not have their files updated anymore since I've moved from hosting on BasketBuild to Amazon S3. Please update to v3.0 to ensure you're getting the latest recovery and root files!

Same issue here... running Win 10 and app crashes
In the folder where Windroid is installed, there should be a Data folder. If there is an Installers folder inside of the Data folder, try renaming or deleting it. This fixed it for me. An alternative that was posted in the main Windroid thread is to move Windroid to an empty folder before you try to run it. Both ways worked for me.

If you have abd installed, just fastboot flash your recovery.
Boot into bootloader
Make sure fastboot is highlighted (should already be when you boot into bootloader)
Open command prompt in adb directory.
Type
fastboot flash recovery "name of recovery.img" -hit enter-
fastboot erase cache -hit enter-
Then reboot either into system or recovery
Its That easy,,,,,
